Hello all my BB peeps! :).
I went in for my 2nd visit at my wls surgeons office. I was expecting to hear "well.. I don't think you will qualify for VSG." but not the case. In my case since the med's I'm on require absorbtion VSG is the best option which I signed for just 2 hours ago. Thank God for this opportunity to the start of a slimmer me. Well it started 2 months ago. I lost some weight. 15 lbs. I'm gonna keep going until the date and of course just keep going.
Thank you for the support and prayers I have recieved from my friends here. I hope to have a surgery date soon. God Bless, ttyl :)

Wow! Congrats and I hope I have the same results. I just had the RY on July 18th and seem to feel hungry all the time, at least my head tells me that. Just wanted to say how wonderful for you. KK

Hi Jspencer! Congrats on the upcoming surgery. I just had mine on the 18th of July and only had to do a liquid diet the day before. So far so good and I know your surgery will go just fine. KK

I am getting more and more excited!!! I start my 5 day liquid diet tomorrow!!! YAY!!! I never thought I would be so excited about 5 days with only liquids before, but I am! It just makes the surgery date feel so much more real to me. And it's another box marked off on the checklist!!! I also see this as a trial run for when I come home. Hopefully I'll figure out what I'm missing now when there's still time to get it and have it here after surgery!!! I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas!!!

Hi Sportsmom,
I am not as new to the site because I lurked for awhile and read everything I could before posting my questions and I can honestly say now 13 days post-op that I am so happy this site is here. The help and answers really help put me at ease and made me feel so much better about my choices and what I am doing right and what are normal things that everyone goes through. The chat on Mondays was helpful to get answers for questions right then :) Good luck on your journey.

Stress can keep you from losing as well as eating the sweets. Of course I don't know post-surgery everything I need to know but I do know that pre-op stress would make me hold onto my weight no matter what I did to try and lose. I am so sorry for your stuggle with your mom. I would try to cut the sweets for sure but the stress levels I'm not sure how to get a handle on except I see a therapist every 2 weeks because stress does me in. Good luck and take care
