Hi Kathy - love this quote! Excellent food for thought - ha ha. My wolf is not getting all that it needs but I will be focused on giving a bit more rest and exercise this week.
Hugs,
Kathy

Keep cool Connie, hearing the critters singing and watchin lightning bugs sounds like fun.  I was walking my critters along the lake here in town last evening, heard the loon singing, what a lonesome sound, thrilling but lonesome.  I look forward to fall, the changing leaves, and change in season is my fav.  Here in MN, the worst of the summer humidity is past, looking foward to a long time before the first snowflakes fall.

Keep working the chantix, the struggle is so worth it when you can give up the habit.  Getting off a stop early is a great idea, the extra steps help and with practive, the extra distance gets easier.  I needed to drop my car off for some body work this morning.  Considered walking home from there, but it was over 5 miles and I had several things to complete this morning.  I will take the critters for another stroll later on.  They got to ride a bit in the car today, satisfied that "we went for a ride with mom", now they are both asleep on the sofa.  Ond day at a time Connie, one day at a time.  Hugs

Great to read your post Diane.  Baby, you are movin' one step at a time.

Keep working on the requirements for surgery, you seem to be getting pretty close to having things done.  Continue to face your demons, put them in the past if you can.  Tame them to be able to live life.  Trust is a big issue.  The one that we need to trust the most is ourself.  Be there for yourself, understand that you are human, with all the issues that come with humanity.  Do what is best for Diane and you will have the energy to face the rest.  Read the post above on feeding wolves.  Love to know your opinion.  Hang in there.

Love this.....
An old Cherokee told his grandson, "My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, & ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, & truth." The boy thought about it, and asked, "Grandfather, which wolf wins?" The old man quietly replied... "The one you feed."

Well bariatric buddies, which wolf do you want to feed this week?  Our minds have amazing ability to focus on either option, see the negative, and you will continue to follow the negative and let it control your life.  I choose to feed the wolf of joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy and truth.  I think this positive wolf has so many more atributes that this.  Sharing, caring, seeing the glass as half full, and I could continue.... but will you???

My wolf for the week is needing adequate fluids, high protein diet, daily exercise and a balance of work and rest and a great chat session this evening.  More on chat for the other post.  What is your wolf asking for?  Post and share.

Topic: RE: Challenge...NOT for everyone!
HI. (shyly waving). I lost my way again from you guys.  I got super busy, but I wont lie and say that was the only reason.   I need to get back on track, not that I have been that far off track.  Mostly it has just been my thinking thats been off track.  I have seemed to have gotten complacent.  Smug and secure feeling at the amount of weight loss I have had.  Didn't realize I had done it, but I strayed away from the guidelines of the pouch.

Grazing has been my worst enemy.  Now whether I did it because it just felt good to feed my face every 2 hours or if I did it because I was afraid to really get that full feeling (the twinge of pain), I dont know.  I do know that it's not working for me.  I have been bouncing around with the same 5 pounds for awhile now, not quite reaching 100 pound lost.

Haven't been to the gym.  Part of that has been embarrassment.  Somehow one of my payments for the personal trainer sessions didnt clear.  They agreed to split it up for me to make in 2..  well then they took it out on the wrong date and it didnt clear.  Needless to say since then i have not had the $$$ to finish paying them.  So I have been avoiding the gym out of embarrassment and fear that they will ask for the money and I have to tell them i dont have it.  I will however have the $$$ this week (thursday) when I get paid.  I also was a little pissed off at them because I have already paid for majority of the package of PT sessions (over $2000) and all I have left to pay is $200.  Don't know why I couldnt use the sessions that I had paid for already...  anyways enough about that.. it will be taken care of this week.  Only just in time for me to be gone for 11 days and totally away from the gym.  IRONY!!!

My PLAN:
- Do the 5 day pouch plan
- Drink 80 oz of water 4 times this week and 64oz 3 times
- WiiFit x3 this week for 30minutes
- Workout at gym Th/Fri/Sat this week

Whats new?
- I am a new Aunt and a 1st time Great-Aunt.  Sister had her son and my niece had her daughter.  This is the reason for such a long vacation.  Its not like I can really afford it, but I do have PTO (paid-time-off) but its at base rate.  Better than nothing I guess.
- I am down b/t 267-270 pounds (pre-surgery weight was 360).  Down from size 26 to very loose size 22.
-Fiance is still out of work, but is working on his GED.  Tentively Planning on getting married next October. Found a dress that I adore.  Its a little pricey, but I am worth it.

Will try to check in a couple of times this week, then next week I will be away.

Hi Danyelle,
Glad to meet you. I live in AZ too. I'm not far from Tucson. Your weight loss is great. Your protein and water is soooo important especially in our 100 degree plus temperature. I know it's difficult to get it all in when all you can do is sip. Energy will come. I promise. Take care of yourself.    Mag

Hi, My name is Wendy and I am kind of new to here.... well actually old I had my surgery way back in 2001 but when I tried to log back into my account I couldn't remember by username, password or even the email I signed up with way back then so I decided to sign up again.  I can tell you that when I first got into this years ago (my profile is still active under Wendy H) that my local support group was wonderful.  We had monthly meetings and clothing swaps and a yahoo group which was wonderful.  It was so awesome to have other people going through things at the same time.  Someone that hasn't been there and hasn't gone through simialar things with weight just don't get it.  Also you will find that relationships change as you gain confidence.  If you want to know more about me you can also find a small part of my recent life at my blog at http;//www:healthy-wealthy-n-wise.com/blog.  It deals more with the struggles in my recent life ten years after bypass.  Hope you find the support that you need.  It is an amazing journey.

Wendy
