I just wanted to say hello to all of you -

I had my surgery last Wednesday - Feb 29 and am doing very well so far.

I'm hoping to find a group to receive and lend support to as we take this wild ride together.

:)

I remain excited and hopeful  -

congrats on ur recent surgery.  Choosing to have WLS was the best decision I ever made.   It was so worth it.   It was not easy and I had my moments so far, but I would never change it.  I am not here as much as I used to be, I am trying to get myself in a better place with exercise and eating and just living.

if you have specific questions jsut ask away!!

HI Fran -

Thanks for the words of encouragement -  Anyone who says this is the "easy way" out hasn't a clue what they are talking about.

Hope to see you around.

Congratulations on your surgery!  Sit back, relax and watch the pounds melt away as you diet and exercise.  Best of luck to you!

Thanks Colleen -

I appreciate the support. I'm already seeing benefits of loosing the first week - my BP was picture perfect at my follow up - something that hasn't been very good for a very long time.

Hope to see you on the boards -

Carole

Hi Caroletee,
I'm just over a year out. Fran and I started our journeys at the same time. I count her as a true friend. I am so pleased with how my life has changed in the past 14 months. I agree that it is not the easy way out, but it is the best thing I've done for myself in decades.  Welcome.    Mag

Hi Mag -

And thanks for hello -

I look at the weight lost numbers on so many of these posts and I am astounded. For so long when I've dieted, I'd loose 10 - 20 pounds and then start to see those pounds come back. Or worse - follow a program to a T and hear, "Congratulations, you lost .5 pounds". Argh -

This beginning part is harder food wise than I thought it would be - But I know soon this will be all behind me and I'll find myself under all this fat again.

Thanks for the encouragement -

Carole
