4th UPDATE!!!

So I got to 297lbs this past weekend and have been stuck there this entire week...  I know, I know...  I havent gotten my 60min of walking (More like 20-30min) in but I am excited...

Yes, I may have hit a major snag by not going any lower but I am also not going any higher...  I haven't been under 300lbs since God knows when...  I am also excited because I have my monthly follow up next week and I hope to be cleared to start lifting weights (I've been on lifting restriction since surgery).

What drives me you ask?  I am glad you asked.  What drives me is the following:

1. I want to be alive to watch my kids (when I have them) grow up and live off their income when they make it as a pitcher for the New York Yankees (I am allowed to dream, aren't I?)
2. I want to know what it feels like to be 65 and be diabetes free and just healthy...
3. I want to be the best softball player ever (ok, maybe not ever) without having to have someone run for me.
4. I WANT TO LIVE!!!

This weekend, I will kill it in the walking department and by next Friday, I will update that I will be UNDER 290lbs...  Bet on THAT MoFoS!!!

I am OUT Dis Motha!!!

Juan,

You are too funny.  It's good you are so motivated. My husband and I used to go the Mall every morning and walk 3-5 miles with all the old people. lol . It was fun, we would try and out do the other. Once my restrictions were lifted that is when we joined the YMCA.

Honestly Juan for me what worked best was the weight circuit.  I did the cardio as well but to lose those inches faster and look toned that circuit did it. I swear it like happened over  night. One day I looked still fat then the next it's like a switch went off and I was dropped those inches. (it took like 6 weeks). I can't believe the amount of inches that just dropped of my butt and thighs.  I am hispanic as well so you know where we hispanic women hold our weight I don't have that problem anymore.

You will be stuck every now and then for me I believe it was week 3 and 4. Didn't lose a pound for 2 weeks then I lost like 10. Don't be discouraged it will come.

Now.....Yankees??..... Really?

Being Diabetes free is awesome! I can't wait for you to experience that!!!

As you workout, combine your cardio and strength training you will be amazed at what a difference the exercising makes!  It completely transformed the way I looked.  I couldn't believe that I had this smaller person inside me :)

Yankees wow!  well they do have the highest payroll in baseball right? Dream big or go home is my philosophy! Keep up the great work :)
