It's not you, you get sick of them but until you can get your protein from food you have to do them... even if you have to switch it up from time to time..

Juan,

Yes, after a while they will make you gag. You will need to find a variety and for me it was the thicker they were the nastier it was. I tried carnation instant breakfast, I  added dried milk for the extra protien and skim milk. That was bearable.

Also special K also makes a powder for water like strawberry kiwi, lemonade and iced T, it has about 5 grams of protein. Since you have to drink water anyways its another source of protein.

Good luck....it will seem for ever until you can eat solid regular food, but its worth the wait. When the times comes believe me you will be so happy with the weight you lost you will become hesitant to the new diet.

Yes they do get old quickly. I tolerated the carnation instant breakfast (sugarfree) with protein powder added the easiest during those post op days.

Have you tried Unjury protein shakes? They have a chicken soup flavor that has worked well for me. It doesn't taste the greatest but I needed something that didn't taste sweet and w/ a scoop of protein in 12 oz of water I felt pretty good
