Which ones have you tried?  I use the Flintstones with iron, chewables, twice a day with no problem.  If you've tried those and tell us the others you've tried, maybe someone else out there will have something not on your list.  Of course, you can always call the Doc's office for advice.

I'm sorry to hear you are having probs.  I hope you get some resolution soon as we all know how important the vitamins are with DS.

Hang in there,

try some free samples of different kinds. the important thing is to get them in period. If that means childrens gummies....so be it.
I use Trader Joes chewable adult vitamins

try a good quality liquid, if you have to mix it with something, anything. Or force yourself. Mind over matter. You have to get your vitamins in. Try half doses also.  Also try it with food. You might just need a little something on your "tummy" to cushion it.

The vitamin Shoppe has a chewable from Country life. Even my kids like it.
I dont think that Flinstones are made for bariatric patients. Not enough of what we need.

Hi, Dani, et. al,

In looking at all the multi-vitamins, I surprisingly found that Flintstones has more of many elements than most, plus it has the iron.  Granted, it's not enough in itself.  I still have to take ADEK and calcium.  But, it was one of the ones recommended by my doctor and, in support groups, I heard many others' doctors had recommended it.  Just because it's a children's vitamin, please don't rule it out.  Compared to Centrum chewables and others, it has more.

Hi all thanks for the thoughts, I started out on the flintstones, then taste changed... so I have done some of the bariatric advantage from samples and the same with the celebrate vitamins. I am waiting for some samples from building blocks.  I have started to crush them and getting them that way so I really don't taste since I know vitamins are key for a proper sucess.

I was able to tolerate the centrum chewable. When I needed to crush meds that tasted horid, my nurse suggested that I take them with a little sugar free jelly. The jelly masked the taste and kept the crumbs together for easy swallowing.
