So frustrated

So I just had a roux en Y exactly one month ago and my weight loss has been very slow.  The first week and a half I lost 10 lbs and since then I have only lost 3 lbs.  I am very discouraged and really regretting having this surgery.  Has anyone else had this problem?

You're doing better than I am! I have only lost 8 pounds in 9 days but that's all ok, I know we're still in the healing phase and things will kick in better once I am off the clear liquids and can nourish my body more. Just stick with your program, drink all your water, get your protein in, and do your walking/exercising. I believe in the system and have faith it's going to work for us!

hang in there, the scale isnt the only thing to change. and sometimes it goes in spurts.

I came home from surgery weighing 10# more than pre-op. it takes our bodies awhile to adjust. Drink more liquids, it helps your body to shift the fluids on out. Our bodies are used to more fluids and calories, thinking the current deficit is permanent, and save every drop that comes by. Increase fluids and activity and the scale will start to move.

I went through many stalls and spruts all through the post op time. Know that you are stronger than the stall. Notice that clothing fits different. Take measurements of your body and pictures for comparison.
