Hello everyone, I like the looks of your site and hope to learn a lot!  My husband just had bariatric surgery 2 weeks ago and since he doesn't get on the computer, I thought I'd get on for him and find out as much information as possible--we call him the "guinea pig", since I'm considering weight loss surgery also, if things go well for him.

Hello, he is doing well, the only problems he's had is a goan pull (which we can't figure out how that happened--it was so bad he couldn't lift his legs) but doctor assured him that isn't something common and perhaps he strained something trying to do the extra walking.  constipation is another problem because of all the vitamins--anyone have suggestions for that?

Other than those things, he's down 30 pounds already--and I'm ready to start my meetings soon.

Thanks!

I had trouble with constipation too.  Added benefiber or generic to my crystal light, no added texture or taste with it.  Miralax, also added to crystal light, sometimes along with the benefiber.  Our bodies are not adjusted to the change in eating pattern.  I still use the benefiber as needed and I am now 2 years out from surgery.

Pass on my congratulations to your hubby.  I wish mine would consider wls.  Life is so much better with less of me to carry about.  Looking forward to hearing your story too.  What are your first names?
