Yes, two short years ago, I was the one headed to surgery.  I recall the day, surgery scheduled late in the day and postponed a little later due to difficulties with someone earlier in the schedule.  I walked laps around the waiting area while my husband and my father talked and read magazines.  I am thrilled that I made the decision for wls.  I am enjoying moving about easier in the smaller body.

I know that my health has improved, energy levels up, weight down, and still losing slowly.  This is work, lots of hard work.  Worth the time and effort.  I enjoy the caring and sharing we share here at bariatric buddy group.  I joined during my getting ready for surgery time, just like many others here.  Some weeks, it is harder than others to get online and read posts.  Life gets very busy.  So everyone, let's live life and thrive.

Take care as we start a new school year for the youth in our lives.  I have been watching the local children start to gather into small groups over the last couple of weeks.  The same trend happens each year at this time.  I noticed some leaves already changing color on a tree here and there.  Fall is my fav season, just wi**** would last a couple of more months.

Congrats on making it through the two years and steadily losing weight at whatever speed!  You are an inspiration to all of us, Kathy.  Thank you for your support and helping to lead and inspire us newbies and long-time members.  It is appreciated.

Thank you Diana.  I get so much more out of sharing with everyone than I give.  Love to 'pay is forward'.  Keep plugging along with your journey too.  Hugs

Congratulations for 2 years since the beginning of your new life.  I remember when you were about to have surgery and you were administering your last dose of insulin .. I am soo proud of you !!

I realize now that it is almost one year out from my surgery and I have lost a total of 115 pounds since the day that I had surgery.  I went in that morning and weighed 265 .. and now I weigh 150 over her on the loser's bench ..

I haven't been on line much these last few months but I have taken the time to check in to see how everyone is doing every so often and I just want to express how proud I am of all of our members as to how they are doing in their decisions with regards to having this surgery.  Some of us it was an easy decision to do it .. others not so easy, and we have helped each other in what ever way we could to get where we are today.  Look at the pounds we have all lost and the goals that we have met and exceeded at.  I think we should all give ourselves a HUMUNGOUS hug for all the hard work that we have done so far and encourage you to all do the best we can to become the thin people hidden inside of ourselves ..

Be blessed,

Jenn

Kathy.  Congrats on your weight loss so far.  The time sure flies by.  Seems that I just had my surgery yesterday.

You are definitely right about life moving on.  Seems that there is not enough time in the day to do all that I want to do.  I have not been on here much, but I do think about you guys often.  Once summer is up, my traveling will slow down and I will have a little extra free time.  I tend to use the summer to see my family.  Then the winter, I use the weather here in philadlephia as an excuse not to have to travel so much.
