I'm soooo frustrated with the waiting.  I have not been doign well with keeping track of my food, which is something I know they'll be looking for at my follow up dietician appointment at the bariatric center.  And I'm totaly sick of all the doctors appointments and tests.  Tomorrow I have to go to the cardiologist and have a nuclear exercise stress test and then an echocardiogram.  Ugh!  So sick of the poking and proddding!  I feel like I'm NEVER going to be where the rest of you are - on the losing side.  Why do they put us through this torture?  Is it to weed out the weak?  To get rid of those destined to be failures?  Feeling very discouraged.

i had to do a 9 month diet for my insurance and had to go to a center of excellence. i didnt have to do a stress test but i did have several tests to do all based on my current psychial health. they wanted to make sure i was healthy enough to have the surgery plus find out everything that was wrong for themselves so that they could submit the proof to the insurance company. it took me 1 week to get approved! im sure it might also be to weed out the week but perhaps not intentionally. im sorry you are feeling discouraged. have hope. it is just after the darkness!! i would say that i promise but you know i cant. just dont let go of hope in general is my best advice to you

Jenn,

I'm sorry you are frustrated. I know all those tests are a pain in the tush, but they want to make sure you are in the best shape possible when going into surgery. Just like Sara said. I bet some do get weeded out, but not you. You can rise above this. Just do the best you can with the work you are to do. Drink plenty of fluids to practice up. Write down what you eat.  Making that a habit now will help you when you join us on the losers bench. Looking forward to good things for you. Just take care of yourself. That's the most important thing for you to do.

I am sorry that you are getting so frustrated. I totally understand where you're coming from. I finally completed all of my pre-op testing (unless the surgeon comes up with something else for me to do)!  In one day I got stuck 8 separate times for all that needed to be done. That was NOT any fun, but it's done. So now, I have my last pre-op appt with my surgeon on Thursday!!! We'll go over the results of all those annoying tests, and if everything is ok, I'll get my surgery date. The point is that you are sooo close! Don't give up now!I've been working towards this goal for over 7 months, and some days I was so discouraged. I thought it would never happen. It's all starting to come together for me and it will for you, too. Be persistent!!! Good luck!

Aww Honey it will be ok. You and I are in the same boat like many others just starting our Journey of Weight Loss. Remember that will ya please. I feel exactly like you do... I had to even stop looking at the before and after pics for a while. I am hoping to have RNY in December. I have all the appointments, logs and such..but it will PAY off in the end.
Hopefully we both can gain one thing in the waiting...Patience!

May the wind always be at your back and the shinning sun be on your face.
