Tim,
We all understand that the pre-op period is hard and it's even harder when you are young, it's summer, and you are dying for some ice cream. That being said, you have already shown that you have the good sense and the willpower to succeed in this. Unfortunately it's not over (nor will it ever really be). This is the time to learn good eating habits and to learn control. What did you gain from a day's binge? A few moments of pleasure maybe but look at the things you have put at risk. Undoing all the good work you have already done, your hopes for a better body and your surgery. Your whole future is ahead of you and this period in your life is critical. You have a golden opportunity, one that many of us wished we had at your age. Don't let it go to waste.

Amalia gave you a great response Tim, I was going to say pretty much the same.  One slip up is not a death sentence.  Just know that you slipped up, start immediately to do the best you can and know that you can do this.  Keep trying.

Hi Tim,

Everyone makes mistakes daily.  Admitting that you messed up is awesome!  It's good that your are being honest with yourself.  Every day we wake up we are getting a new chance.  I even find that seeing the refrigerator temps me sometimes.  So I go and do something else to distract myself.  Some times the cravings are really strong.  Its summer go out side and take a walk or drive to a lake and watch the boats.  I do that sometimes.  When I mess up I'm like ok why did I do that.  What is going on that I would do that.  then realize that I'm human I make mistakes but I'm not going to give up.  Keep trying because its completely worth it!!!  Good luck
