Post op weight loss ??'s
I am new to this page but has gastric bypass 7 weeks ago. The first few weeks I loss weight 4-5 lbs a week. The last 2 weeks I have only lost about 2 lbs a week. I have been exercising about 30-60 mins at least 3 times a week. I have been eating well. There are days thats I can eat more then others. I have been trying to make sure that I eat all protien first but still get hungrey a few hours later. I almost feel like I have stretched my stomach already. Is this all normal ? Any help or suggestions to offer.
Jenn, just follow the program set up by your surgeon. I wasn't hungry at first, some are. We are each different. Looks like you are doing things that are expected. You won't have stretched your pouch at this time. Increase your fluids will help some with the feelings. I sometimes confused thirst with hunger when I was new post op.
We all go through phases of rapid loss and slower loss and stalls. Change up what you are doing will help to break a stall. Increase fluids, try a little more protein, switch up your exercise program. And most of all, do not try to compare your loss to anyone else. When else have you had this speed of weight loss. The weight did not appear overnight, enjoy the ride as you continue with losing. Let's be loser's together. Hugs

My fantasy is to 'unzip' the fat suit and step out. *deep breath sigh* but guess what. the fat suit didn't go on in one layer and is won't come off in one layer. Just keep going. Most important is to keep focus and don't give up. Our bodies get confused - 'hey - what the h*ll is going on here' and is trying to adjust. Getting your protein first is the most important thing you can do for your program. Your doing great, keep going! Take a breath and just keep going, your doing everything right!
