Feeling nauseous after Vitamins

Jeanine J.

I take my vitamins every morning and every morning shortly after I take my vitamins I get really nauseous! I hate the feeling but I deal with it because I need my vitamins. I take it with a small amount of food but I am still nauseous. I have phenergan (sp) and I take that but it doesn't help. I am wondering if there is a "magic" food that will help with the sick feeling. It is a very bad feeling and I know I can't stop taking my vitamins (I wouldn't do that anyway). I just want to be a ease when I take my meds!

It may be the brand or type of vitamin you are taking. If it is coated, you cannot break it down. I take the Building block brand of bariatric vitamins (chewable form) and they taste great and set well too. If you want to check em out they are at www.bbvitamins.com they will even send you a sample if you email them and ask. They offer chewable, liquid, and quick disolve capsules. The chewables are like my candy..lol.

Try a different brand of vitamin, consider taking it after eating to avoid med on am empty stomach, the food will dilute the vitamin. Talk with some one from your suupport team to see if there are other options. I got by with the centrum chewables, the light citrus taste settle alright with me. Each and every one of us has different preferences and tolerances. Best of luck with settling your vitamin issue. Hugs
