Hello from Eliza

Hi everyone

I'm new to this group, so I thought I'd say hello.

I'm presurgery - still have to have and endoscopy, cardiac eval, and pulmanary eval before the surgeon will send out for insurance approval.  I think I'm more nervous about that, than about the surgery.  I'd like to have the surgery before my health deteriorates further, and I've seen big changes in the last year.

But the doctor and the entire practice has been very supportive through the start of this journey, so I'll have to see how it works out.  In the meantime, the meetings with the nutritionist have been helping get my diet in order, and I've begun walking and working in the garden again.

Hi Eliza,
Welcome to our group. This is a wonderful group of people. They have so much information that is helpful on our journeys. The encouragement is amazing.
I had many health problems before my WLS. Now things are greatly improving. I know it's hard to wait, but it is so worth it. You are doing well to work with the nutritionist (NUT) now. You are doing good things for yourself. That is great. Have a wonderful Sunday.

Welcome Eliza, glad to see your post. I try to get online a few times a week. Continue to jump through the needed hoops before surgery. These are for a reason, to make sure that you are at your healthiest before surgery. Ask any and all questions, we will do our best to share from experience.

I am thrilled that my health has improved since surgery. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as you continue the process. Hugs

Welcome Eliza! Best of luck in the hoop jumping. You'd think with all that hoop jumping, we'd lose weight from that effort alone! lol.

Glad to hear you are getting more active and eating better now. It will help lay the foundation for post-op success!
