Hi Ladies,

Hope we are all having a goo start to our day. Except it is not the start of your day. Right, Amalia?

I saw the PNP yesterday. He is happy that I'm making progress. No medication changes this week. Also, don't have to go back for 2 weeks. I see the cardiologist today at 11:15AM. I don't even remember why she wants to see me. Where is my brain? Has anyone seen it?

Food was pretty good yesterday over all. I did make one bad choice.  But moving in the right direction. No craving for sugar, Thank God for that. Still not getting enough fluids in. I don't know why it is so difficult for me.

Have a wonderful day. Take care of you.    Mag

Glad the visit with the PNP went well! As for the water, I have to be very disciplined to do it too... just gotta do it girl! Get a watch with alarms on it and set it to remind you to drink a certain amount at a certain time??

Hang in there lady... ya know how it goes. The less you have to lose the slower and harder it is, but it will happen. Also remember your weight can fluctuate by as much as 3 lbs just from body fluids present. I fight the same battle, but am heading in the right direction, however slowly!

Things have been crazy here, but i am still doing the challenge, just not able to check in as much as I had been. So here's a quick update from me.

When we started this challenge, I was fightning some regain that snuck up on me whikle I was back in my first semester at school. I had gone from 153 to 167 during that semester. Last time I reported on my weight and loss I was floating between 163 and 166. I am now at 161. So I am ever so slowly getting it back off of me. I have my good days, and then a bad day thrown in now and then. Why??? Why those bad days? Because I get caught up in things and allow my focus to slip a bit. That must end. This is not a diet, or an exercise program. THIS IS A LIFESTYLE and I need to get back to where it is just part of who I am and how I choose to live on a daily basis. Gotta get back to where it is habitual to do the good things, rather than something I have to think about. I am getting back there in some areas, now I need to get back there in the rest of the areas that have slipped.

My area of focus over the next few days will be on getting back to eating breakfast in within 30 minutes of waking up. I used to always do this, even if it was just some yogurt with half a banana. When I was in school, I was so focused on my studies, I used my breakfast time to study, get ready for school, etc. Now i have to re-instill this essential habit.

I keep wanting to go to the YMCA and begin a toning routine 3 days a week along with some swimming, but I have not successfully done this yet. Seems lifes demands always convinces me to put it off yet another day. NOT a good frame of mind. Life will always be throwing something my way, I must learn to focus and stay that way!

Next Wed morning, I will be leaving for a camping trip (using a camper tho, not a tent..lol). I, my husband and his uncle will be traveling to Utah...and my brother and his family will be as well (he is in Las Vegas). We are going to meet up and do this camping trip at Lake Navajo, Utah. We should get in Wed evening, and my brother and his family are coming up there Thursday morning. We will all head home Sunday morning. My husbands Uncle is bringing his Pontoon boat, so that will be a lot of fun for all of us I am sure. Then Monday it will be back to reality once more.

Hello,
Hope your day is going well. I don't know why the post didn't show the other day. I tried edit and the post was there, but when I hit submit, it disappeared. Strange.

Cardiologist took me off my heart meds on Tuesday. That is a NSV for me!!!!!  She did say she could tell I was dehydrated just from the condition of my skin. My body is begging for more water.

Second thing:   First sleep study showed no REM sleep at all. I had a second one last night with Bi-PAP on my usual setting of 13 over 9. They titrated (?) the setting upward but never had any REM sleep then either. The sleep specialist is going to work on finding a way for me to get a normal sleep pattern. Good luck to me. Then I will need a third sleep study to see if his plan works. I've never heard of this happening before. Just think how good I will feel after getting this problem fixed. I'll be able to take on the world. So I'm not lazy, just exhausted.

Forgot to eat yesterday until 2PM. Was behind all day. Took a protein drink with me to the sleep study. Drank more but still not up to the 64 ounces I need. Obviously, I didn't overeat yesterday.

    Hugs     Mag

Congrats on the NSV! Such great news! Also glad they are being diligent in finding a solution to your sleep disturbances. I hope you find yourself sleeping like a baby in no time! Drink tha****er lady! Even if you have to get a watch with multiple alarms to remind you to do so. You have to take good care of yourself to feel good, I I do so want to see that you are feeling good very soon here.

Undereating can slow weight loss as much as overeating. Best of luck getting the meals and fluids on track. I have a feeling when you are not so exhausted you will have an easier time of things. Hugs to you! Thanks for the update.

is there a good article i can read that will show me step by step of how to get back on track.  I need to know my nutrient requirements and even exercise requirments.  I got to get back n track. I am so off, you would think I never had the surgery the way I eat and dont exercise.  I have lost over 115 lbs and kept it off, but its starting to come back.  Why wouldnt it the way I am going...so anyway it's time for me to get back right!

Any CONSTANT help and encouragement will be appreciated!
