Sorry about your sinus problem, Patrece. Be careful and DO call a doctor if it doesn't go away soon. REST!!
Well, I do have some good news. My scale FINALLY moved and showed me half a kilo down today! It may have something to do with my moving to the next phase of Atkins yesterday. I thought I would start on nuts to help with my hunger cravings so in mid-afternoon I started on some almonds. I specifically chose almonds because they are the only nuts that I'm not addicted to! Filled on the generous portion of almonds allowed, I became too full for dinner and the satiety lasted till the morning.
In a little while hubby and I will be going for a day out and I hope I can keep to my new eating rules!

Woooooo Hoooooooooo... I was hoping for this great news! I had a feeling it was coming. The second phase should be easier to handle than the first. Keep up the great work. You are doing so well. Have a great day out and just always remember...nothing tastes as good as being thinner and healthier feels!

My sinuses are tremendously improved this morning. I am hoping they will stay that way. We shall see as the day progresses. I took some dayquil (sp?), hoping that if the sinuses were going to get worse, it may curtail it. I have a ton of housework to do and it is very hard to focus on when your head is ready to explode, and your face feels like it is about to split in half. lol. Then there is that feeling of that little man sitting inside the head trying to kick your eyeballs out.

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!

My last couple of days have not been too bad. not great for trying to lose, but a good solid maintenance type intake. Which would be fine if I wanted to just maintain. BUT I still want to get another 10 to 13 lbs off. 10 lbs would have me back to my lowest, 13 would have me happy...lol. My biggest shortcomings right now are not getting in enough water / crystal light, and getting in too much coffee (whats new?) and not getting in my walks, but have been staying very active with working around the house, so that helps alot there.

My thoughts are this...even tho i don't look bad, if I allow myself to sit back and accept this little bit of regain,I am setting the tone for my journey to be too passive. I am not going to allow that. I must stick to my plan and my goals and not passively accept what I really do not want to. That is a quitters attitude, and I might be a big loser in this wls journey, but NOT a quitter! LOL.

I need to get to the store at some point today, as I am about out of my favorite easy foods like cottage cheese, fruit, fresh veggies, etc. I can't let this stuff stay out of the house, or that is when I will have to turn to other foods that are not as good for me. Soooo off to the store i go today. Think I will make roast veggies for dinner, with some boneless skinless grilled chicken breast meat. I will be soooooooooo happy when my tomato plants produce a harvest. Last summer once they came in, I had cottage cheese, tomato slices, and lean lunch meat almost every day for lunch, and some days made stuffed baked tomato for dinner. Now that is nummy! Can't hardly wait, but I must...

Wishing you all a great day today!

Hello dear friends,

Well, I did have my first dumping episode. I knew I was pushing the boundaries for the past week. It was horrid. I was so miserable. The good news is I never what to do that again. Yesterday and today have been much improved, but did not get my water in. Will work on that today. Sleeping well but still more tired than I should be. I will get my labs drawn this week and see if anything is in need of adjustments. I'm going to take a short nap. Then I must clean the kitchen and dining room.   Won't take long. It's just messy.
Hope you have a glorious day.     Mag

Hey Mag! As miserable as dumping is...it is a wonderful accountability tool for sure! Do yourself a huge favor, and believe you will alwaysssssssssss dump! I still dump at times and am nearly 3 years out. Worst part is, i shouldn't be taking in the things that can trigger that!
Get tha****er in! That could be contributing ALOT to your fatigue, if you aren't getting it in. Have a wonderful nap, and turn on some nice peppy music while you clean...it will help you pep up!
You also have a most wonderful day Mag

Good Morning,

I am doing much better on my food but not where I want to be. Had GoLean and a banana for breakfast. Peanuts for a snack, Shake for lunch. And chicken salad made with ff mayo, cottage cheese, and 5 grapes. A few more peanuts before bed. Only had 45 ounces of fluids.
Will work on that today Usually weigh on Sundays, but retaining fluid in my legs.

Going to see my PNP today. Hopefully I won't have any more med changes, Sleep was good. Not waking up during the night. All in all, I believe I have turned the corner and I'm over my eating binge.

     Hugs    Mag

WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!! Way to go lady! I am so glad for you. Keep up the great work. FYI, fluid retention can also be caused by not taking in enough water. It is your body's way of trying to preserve itsself and store extra fluids to prevent dehydration.
Glad too you are resting better. Let us know how the PNP appt goes.
Hugs back at ya!

I've been bad about reporting in this week and I'm sorry. I've been sticking to my Atkins-type diet, however, as much as I can. Today I realized that only 2 weeks are left before vacation and it doesn't seem likely that I'll be losing 4-5 kg by then! LOL
Oh well, back to the drawing board and the long haul through another winter!
For what it's worth, I'm pretth proud of how far
I've come. I never in a million years even dreamt I would lose 100+ lbs from this experiment and it's mostly due to this board and the wonderful people  here who held my hand throughout the year.  Thanks!

Amalia
