fiance snores like crazy as well.  I always go do bed for him.  He comes in after I fall asleep.  Sometimes he falls alseep on the loveseat in his game room waiting.  Then if he comes to bed and his snoring bothers me, I kick him out again.. LOL..  but I am the one working so I need all my rest.  There are days I feel for him and I get up and go to the couch.

didnt find the energy to workout.  have to get up early in the morning.  cant remember if my trainer appt is in the morning or if it is thursday.  LOL..  so if I get up and its not tomorrow, I will still go to the gym.  then come home and take a short nap b4 work.

 What are cabbage wedges?

I might tolorate snoring, or wearing earplugs to tolorate the snoring if I wanted to share the same bed, but he thrashes too... drives me crazy. And since his accident that blinded him 4 years ago (almost) I am more mommy and caregiver, so sleeping together really doesn't appeal to me anyways.

Cabbage wedges are DELICIOUS! You take a head of cabbage and quarter it from top to bottom, then half the quarters. The cut pieces are wedges. You lightly butter each of the cut sides of the wedge, salt and pepper over the butter, then wrap bacon (uncooked) around the wedge. Wrap the wedge in a foil pouch, add a tiny bit of water, then seal the foil closed. Then you can bake them, or cook them on the grill. They are so yummy! Even people who don't much care for cabbage like them. I don't eat them often due to the fat content, but now and then I do.

sorry to hear about your husbands accident and his blindness and all the other stuff that goes along with that.  Considering that, maybe you should try sleeping in seperate beds every other night or something.  Just in order to get some good sleep.  You do need good sleep.

And those cabbage wedges sound "to DIE fo".  will have to try them thursday.  How long do u grill them for?

about 15 minutes, maybe 20... if you cut the head into 8 wedges the cabbage cooks best. Gotta watch so the bacon doesn't burn tho, so cook it on low. They are soooo yummy!

Gotta figure out something to get better sleep. will post about other stuff seperately

Let me know how ya like the cabbage wedges

Good Evening Peeps,

I am so tired. Came down from the mania and now dragging along. Much better than crashing and being depressed so the increase in Lamictal is doing it's job. I just want to sleep, but we all have things to do that won't wait. I worked on paper work and making calls. One of my least favorite things to do. I think the call should only take a few minutes and it ends up taking 20 or 30. Frustrating.

I'm taking a break today from eating. Not hungry. Tummy bloated. Drinking fluids. Taking pills and vits. My sister made some almond chicken so I have that I can eat tonight. I don't know if being in and out of the heat is doing it or what. One day won't hurt. I'm make sure to eat tomorrow. Eating is such a pain in the rump. Now don't get on my case. I'm just being honest. I'll do better tomorrow, I promise.   Mag

Not gonna be a PIA.  I have had those days too.  So if you get your fluids in and maybe a protein drink, then that is better than nothing.  Could be the heat..  Or I just find days that I dont really want to eat anything and its for no particular reason.  Did that even pre-op.  Hope you are catching some ZZZZZzzz's right about now.  I am getting ready to head to bed.  I am sore from working out yesterday after taking a couple of months off, but also so beat up from work.

Take care
Frances

You get rested up and listen to your body! You are right, one day will not be the end of the world. Take good care of yourself, and do try for eating tomorrow if you are up to it. Take great care and keep us posted on how you are doing. HUGS!

Well, I went for my 3 year WLS follow up appt and to consult with my surgeon on the possibility of an ulcer. He is thrilled with how I have done. I told him a gained about 10 lbs and was working at getting it back off. He said if I stay where I am or even a few lbs more, he'd still be thrilled. I told him I reallyyyyyyyyy want to get the rest (6 lbs) of the regain back off, and he said.. don't worry about it..lol. BUT i will of course, because I was happier at that weight with how I looked and felt.

As far as the pain and what I suspected to be an ulcer, he says he is 98% sure I do have one. I will be having a scope done on Monday to find out for sure. If it is, its open surgery, an incision about 6 to 8 inches long. My wls was laproscopic and he said the wls will seem like a breeze compared to this one if it is an ulcer. He told me that typically the ulceration will occur just below the pouch in the small intestine where the two were adjoined during my RNY. Not sure how soon the corrective surgery would happen, or how long I will have to stay in the hospital if at all, but I don't imagine it will be put off too long. He also said that I am probably so exhausted because of the ulcer bleeding and the stress I have been under. The stress he said is also adding to the ulceration problem, if i have one. I have noticed dark stools on and off the last few months, since this has been acting up, and when i have the most pain is when my stool is darker, and the dark stool indicated bleeding also. UGHHHH... All I know is I will NOT let this get in the way of my camping trip this summer to Utah, which is supposed to be around the end of july. If it is not done before the end of June..I will suffer it out until I get back from the trip, unless it is soooo bad that he thinks my life would be at risk, which i doubt right now.

Will keep you all posted, and will check in later with my progress for the day.

((Patrece)) I hope everything goes well and you either don't have an ulcer or it's something easy to fix. It COULD be the stress. You have been through a lot lately!
I hope all of you are doing well and are successful in your efforts. I'm doing as well as possible, considering that the scale isn't moving. I continue on my no-bad-carb diet, in which I am doing  very well... better than I expected, actually.
Yesterday, I made some tilapia fish in the oven and had some of that + veggies for lunch and for dinner I had a chicken burger pattie with some salad. Late at night i WAS hungry so I made some Quick Knorr soup and had it with a piece of cheddar.
Praying that this whole effort doesn't go to waste.

Thanks Amalia! I will get through this, whatever it is. Will just be glad to get a definative answer to what it is and know how and when it will be taken care of. Yes...TONS of stress, and lots I haven't even posted about. When it rains it pours, but hopefully everything will level out here soon.

All of our bodies have to have a time to catch up as we go through the weight loss. it is normal. You and I both know your efforts are not wasted, look at what you have lost already just since we began the challenge! The loss will pick back up. AND the healthy eating will help you keep off what you have lost! You are doing great!
Hugs!
