I completely missed this.. but count me IN.  I need to be here more and to be more accountable to myslef.  The scale is sorta stalled...  5 pounds in a month  ( I dont like that) and I know its because I could have done better.

What I need to change:
Get my a$$ back to the gym.  (Goal is to get there tomorrow after working all night tongiht)
Take my vits and supplements on a regular schedule ( Filled my pill box up.. took this mornings already)
Start back with my potein shakes atleast once a day.  ( I have been getting my protein in with foods, but only the bare minimum)
Start eating some veggies daily.  (ate some peppers and onions tonight and have some with my lean cuisine dinner)
Eliminate sweets!!!!   (that ugly sweet tooth has reared its ugly head, and since I dont dump, I have been giving into temptation).
Call my GYN and get started back on the metformin for the PCOS and see if that helps with the weight loss some.
OH yea...  I NEED TO BE MORE ACTIVE HERE.  I will shoot for atleast every other day.  Love you guys and have missed you.

So here is my plan.  THANX Patrece for this, sorr if I am a tad bit late.

Hey lady! Better a tad bit later, than never. I think we will just keep this going for anyone who wants to join in on it at anytime. This wls thing is NOT the easy way out as many assume it is. We all know this first hand. We are the best advocates for each other, and the best supporters each other can have, because we truly understand the challenges and struggles, along with the victories!

It sounds like you have quite a list to work on. Don't let it overwhelm you. If you have to, pick one thing at a time, and when you get a good handle on it add another, and so on. This helps prevent overwhelm, the urge to give up and discouragement.

Just as a suggestion, try hard to stay away from prepared meals, even lean cuisine. They are either loaded with fat, carbs, sodium, or something. I have read all the labels, and they are not very good for us. No processed foods are. The additives encourage fat storage, and the nutrients have been processed out and replaced artificaially for the most part. Go for fresh instead. The closer foods are to how nature provided them, the better they are for us in so many ways.

You can do this! NOW start believing you will dump, and avoid that stuff. You didn't go through all of this to go back to where you came from. Remember nothing tastes as good as being thinner and healthier feels! The taste lasts but a moment. The effects last a long long time!

Would it be easier for you to go to the gym before work? Maybe you are too tired after?

I am proud of you for your honesty and dedication to getting back to plan. You CAN CAN CAN do this!

Hugs and lots of love back at ya lady!

normally dont do the prepared meals.  Just bought a few to have in the house in a pinch.  And well today was one of those days that dinner did not get cooked.  Had oatmeal for breakfast with some apples, cranberries, and raisins.  Lunch was meatloaf (leftovers) with peppers and onions.  Ran out of leftovers and well too hot to cook.

I was thinking about hitting the gym b4 work this coming up weekend.  I am usually up at 3p anyways.. would give me enough time to workout, shower, and then eat something before heading to work.  Plan on going to the gym monday and thursday ( which are my days off) as well this week.

I think each and every one of us have those "no way Jose, I am not cooking" days...lol. Those are usually the days I eat my cottage cheese sliced turkey breast or chicken, and a salad or some fruit for dinner. BUT now and then I pick something prepared too. usually end up wondering why i did tho, cuz it is usually not the best tasting stuff anyhow..lol

Welcome back girl! Look forward to seeing how this all goes for you. Hugs!

i am feeling u...  right now I am eating that lean cuisine.. and the only thing that tastes good is the potatoes.  The meat has a good flavor, but the textures is weird.. but I am trying to eat it so I get the whole 13g of PROTEIN in..  i did bring me powder to mix me up a shake later.. thank goodness

lets think of easy ways to get nutritious meals without a lot of extra fuss. When you do make "good for you meals", make extra, portion them out and freeze them so later you can take them out of the freezer, heat and eat. Would this be possible for you to do? Those seal a meal things are great for this, or old fashioned freezer bags does the trick as well. You can freeze things together as a meal, or individually so you can mix and match meals later according to your tastes that day.

Maybe your fiance would be willing to help with meal prep and freezing extra portions for future meals?

Just some ideas.. Glad you brought your protein with you too!

sounds like a good idea.. but in theory.  not sure if I would eat it after its been frozen though.  I will do chili and spaghetti sauce like that, soups as well.  I am thinking of marinating some chicken breasts and cooking them then dicing them up and freezing them.  Wouldnt be too hard to fry up some onions and peppers or add some salsa and shredded cheese for a meal.  I guess I need to get creative.  thans for brain storming.

You are quite welcome. Reheating it from frozen is the same as you do with a frozen dinner, only you forgo all of the additives and processing.. But however you can make it work, even now and then, is better than not at all! Good luck and let that creativity flow!

Today was my Granddaughters 5th birthday party. I did eat a very small sliver of marble cake, with NO frosting on it. When I say very small, that is the truth. It was about 1/2 inch thik and about 2 inches long. 4 bites at most, small bites. Aside from that I ate from the veggie platter that my sons wife was kind enough to provide, knowing the other food choices would not be consumed by me. I wasn't going to even taste the cake, but did while making a conscious choice to avoid all carbs except those from fruits or veggies for the rest of the day. I hadn't had any carbs as of then either.

I am continuing to maintain the 4 lbs lost the first few days of our challenge, but have not put enough effort out since to lose more, but enough to maintain the loss I did have. SOOOOOOOO tomorrow is Monday. A NEW day a NEW week a NEW opportunity to do better. Here's the plan:

Back to Phase one of the atkins (modified to reduce fat intake from what they allow). Up my water like I did the first few days of this challenge and got away from again after that, reduce coffee intake. Get in either a protein shake, atkins shake, or carnation instant breakfast for breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up each and every morning, or eat food sources of protein like yogurt or cottage cheese or egg. I usually do not care to eat in the mornings, so the shakes will likely be what I mostly use for the start of my day. I really do need to get more active. I get in some activity, but not what I need to or should get in. I feel so tired all of the time anymore, I cannot stand it! I have also reduced my smoking and am going to try yet again in the morning to stay away from it.wish me luck.

I will also be scheduling my 3 year wls follow-up appt Monday. July 21st will be 3 years, but I also suspect I have an ulcer, so need to get that checked out asap.

I wish u all the best with quitting smoking.  I dont smoke but have been around people who did all my life.  So I do understand how it can be difficult.  And I think that reducing the amount u smoke at one time slowly is better than just quitting cold turkey.  Wish my fiance would get motivated to quit, but hes so stressed over not working right now.  So probably not the best time to do so
