Hi Everyone!!!

Sorry I haven't been around. My life is harder since the surgery and my moods are bouncing once again. I see the shrink in a little over a week. Plus i have been sooo tired lately and havent been able to give up my nap. I wont be able to have one tomrrow though. and since i dont drink caffeeine i have to rely on water to wake me up. I got on the scale today and it said i was under 240. i can't believe it. this has been an amazing journey.

i posted new pictures in my album if anyone wants to take a look at them. i dont know how to do it on here. gabby has a friend over and im babysitting her tomrrow as well.

I am learning the hard way that some people just dont understand you no matter what you do, surgery or not. a really good friend and mentor of mine is now "causing trouble" let's just say. or rocking the boat might be a better expression.

sometimes i dont notice the weight loss but when we took some pictures outside with the timer today i really noticed it. i am melting away lol. i love it though. i cant wait for the new gym to open in june so i can work out more. i want to work up to 1 hr 5 days a week. right now its about 30 min 4 times a week

Keep up the good attitude Sara. Some of those we encounter can be such downers. Do not let that affect you. You are doing wonderful. Congrats on the successful losing to this point. More is yet to come.

Sara,

I have also noticed that my moods are bouncing around more since surgery.  I'm glad you said that; I thought it was my imagination.

There will always be one or two "naysayers" in our lives.  I just let them have their opinion and go about my way.

I also found that regardless of what the scale, mirrors, and clothes were telling me that the best way to see my results were pictures. I took new pictures about every 30 pounds.  I need to take some now that I am post plastics, although I have lost so much weight that I am scary skinny.  Never thought I'd have this problem!

Colleen, i agree with you about pictures as well as the naysayers. but it gets on my nerves! if you dont understand me, fine, but keep your mouth shut! i guess im just a big old meanie that doesnt want anyone to spoil what happiness i do have. i take pictures about every 2 weeks right now only because im obsessed and in my first 3 months so i can see a big difference. i was only trying to take them at each month anniversary but there was my daughters birthday party and then i got a new outfit that looked amazing... lol. so i take them whenever now, i dont hide from the camera. but def every month for the first year is my plan. i hope you are doing better, i dont read posts much to find out the results of things. i just have a lot going on and a lot of emotions. my shirnk isnt familar with weight loss surgery so its been a game. one day i go and im great, next day im not. i hate being bipolar and can understand why you have to be stable in order to get the surgery most of the time. i hope all is well. i just wanted to reply. if you are on facebook look me up Sara Sloan Macovitz

Sara. You are doing wonderfully! The mood swings can be expected, especially as the weight is falling off like it is. Good to hear you are following up with your psych.
Take great care of YOU!

Life will always be throwing monkey wrenches at us, be it negative people or times of struggle. remember to not let it knock you off track. Those who cannot be supportive and encouraging may just need to be kept at a distance for a while, or altogether. Hang in there and keep up the good work
