When I was going thru my surgery prep I ended up waiting more than a year after I first consulted a Baratric Surgeon. I too have been a yo-yo dieter in the past and have figured out that those who have never had a weight loss issue will NEVER understand the frustrations that we feel about the attempts at weight loss that we go thru. I weighed 273 at my highest and the day I had surgery I weighed 265. I recently weighed myself and I am currently at 170 and I realized that I have not been this small in literally 20 years. Ignore the naysayers that you run across and know that you are doing the best thing for your health by doing this surgery. My mother is surprised at how small I am getting. My 6 year old can actually wrap his arms around my waist and overlap his hands at the back. I can almost keep up with the 6 year old now..
