Bariatric Buddy
Hello Group
I had my surgery on 4-30-11, I feel great! I am so excited to start my new life. I started on this road weighing 283 and no matter how hard I tried the weight always stayed the same. I went to see Dr. Suh on 5/14/11 and I was down 259. I am walking a mile a day, five days a week. I welcome any suggestions and help that anyone wants to give. So glad to find this group. thanks for letting me join! Let's lose weight together.
Hi and welcome to our group,
Weekends are very quiet around here I think. Probably more people around tomorrow. Your welcome to join our Monday evening chats. I love them. I don't make it every week due to timing problems, but I try hard to get there. Even if I'll be late I can just join right in. Take care, Mag

Welcome to our group and congrats on your wls! Good for you on getting in the walking. Best advice I can give you is: don't allow yourself to get away from the walking, nor following all of the basic wls rules, because once you get away from it, it can be very difficult to get back on top of things. Make good use of these early weeks and months to establish all of your healthy new lifestyle habits so that once you are 2 years + out, you don't have to fight regain and try to figure out how to get things where they need to be to stay successful in this journey. You are in the perfect place to really get established easily in your new way of life.
I am almost 3 years out. (July 21st will be 3 yrs). I started back to college this past semester and was so busy and distracted, I let myself get sidetracked a little, and gained 10 lbs over the 4 months. I have gotten 5 of the 10 back off now, but it is harder than ever to do now. I KNEW better! But alas I am as human as anyone....support group leader or not. LESSON LEARNED! Don't let yourself learn it the hard way.
Ask any questions you may have. I look forward to sharing in your journey!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Welcome to the group, feel free to ask any and all questions. I am not bashful, at least not most days. Weekends can be quiet here. I work night shift and try to keep up with posts often. This week has been especially busy, no, not with work. I am getting caught up with the posts.
It is great to see all the caring and sharing that this group provides. Monday chat sessions are great, the immediate feedback from others "who have been there" means so much. Reminders for the chat sessions are posted each monday. Looking forward to being a loser with you. Hugs
