Hi Tim,
Glad you are working at increasing your exercise. That's very good. The idea of losing weight pre-op or post-op is learning to eat healthy. I know there are habits we all have that are had to break, but you can do it. Did the surgeon or NUT give you examples of what you should be eating right now?
Glad you are getting sleep study and blood work out of the way.

It is not an easy thing to change the way we eat, what we eat, when we eat or how much we eat. It is hard. Thats also part of why wls is not the easy way out so many claim it to be. If we don't get a handle on our relationship to and use of food, the weight will just come back. Have you considered attending counseling or support groups in person to help you as you learn to adjust?

You can do this! Sometimes we need a little extra help, but it doesn't mean we can't make it happen. Reacvhing out here is a very good start!

Your caseworker may not be a dietician, but it sounds like she cares about helping you. One of the best things you can do is to follow a diabetic diet. They are a pretty healthy way of eating with no extremes like many other diets have.

Good luck and keep on keeping on. you'll do it!
