Surgery FRIDAY!!!
OMG!!! I cannot believe that it is almost HERE already! Seems like I have been waiting FOREVER for my surgery date! I am seriously nervous now I am still excited but WAY MORE NERVOUS!!! lol I have unpacked my bag and I am deperately trying to get it down to bare essentials! I will try again tomorrow!
Jeanine, I packed a small overnight bag with what I thought were the bare essentials. Over packed, as usual. I did take my chap stick out of the bag, and my cpap. Everything else, came home again without every leaving the bag. I napped between strolls and sipping.
I would recommend bringing a pair of slip on slippers. I used the hospital issued booties, and could not bend anough to reach my feet. Felt odd calling for help to just put slippers on. I know that the staff is there to help us, I just like to do as much as I can for myself.
Quick healing for you this weekend. Come back to post of your experience when you can, after surgery. Hugs

Hi Jeanine,
It's gonna be here soon!!!! You really don't need a lot at the hospital (like Kathy said.)
Some hospitals will not let patients wear slip on slippers. Too big of a risk factor. Also a lot of hospitals have gone to color codes of the slipper socks. Yellow is for low risk patients and red are for high risk patients. That way staff people are immediately aware of your fall status by the color of your socks. Every hospital is different, but I thought I'd give you a heads up. I did take my own anti-persperant, toothpaste, and toothbrush as I never like the hospitals free stuff.
See you on the flip side, Mag

You have waited and fought so hard for this day! You are going to do great lady!
Slip on slippers for walks, so you don't have to bend, chap stick, panties, something loose and comfy for the ride home.
Keeping you i my heart and prayers as you have your surgery tomorrow AM!
