It's so depressing.
Oh my gosh, if it isn't one thing it's another.
First of all this weather in Illinois sucks. It's been cold and wet for the last two weeks. We've hardly seen the sun, and it's becoming depressing. I don't want to do anything, go anywhere, be with anyone. It really takes a toll on my emotional health.
Second of all we were looking forward to a move someplace warmer in the fall and that is postponned.... for how long, we don't know.
Thirdly, I have been at the same weight since February. Now I have heard of platteaus, but this is just plain silly, and more depressing. I have about 30 - 35 pounds to go, so it's not like it's the last 5 pounds.
I have been writing down everything I eat, about 100-1200 calories a day. I get all my protein in and I take all my vitamins, not to mention all my fluids. I'm at the gym 6 days of the week averaging about 400-600 calories burned. On Mondays and Thursdays I take the Zumba class so I'm burning at least 800 calories in that class. So I think I'm on the right track there.
About two weeks ago I got my 4th fill. I am up to 7 cc's in my band, and I swear I can't tell the difference between where I am now, and where I was before my last fill. I'm still hungry in the afternoon, and I don't think I should be.
Am I going to get to a point where I won't lose any more weight no matter what I do?
I've lost 70 pounds already, so it won't be all bad if I never loose another pound, I just want to get to my goal. This is driving me crazy.

sounds like it is poruing at ur place right now. Take a deep breath and remember the sun will shine again soon.
As far as the weight goes, maybe try increasing your calories by 200 for a week. Ur body may need more due to all the exercise that you are getting. Make sure u shoot for 100g of protein and less than 100g of carbs a day. Make sure u are getting in more than 64 oz of fluids a day as well. With all that exercise u need to be replenishing the lost fluid.
CONGRATS on your weightloss. U are doing great!!!!

Jeannine, I would be willing to send you our weather, but here in MN, it is just like yours.... raining or snowing daily or every other day. I saw night crawlers, snow and dandelions all in a 24 hour peroid. Understanding your position on being a bump on a log and not doing anything. Ughhhhh, time for the real spring to start.
Talk with the person who adjusts your band, you should feel some restriction. Being hungry again several hours after eating is normal. Sounds like you are getting in plenty of activity. Try increasing protein and fluids a little and see if your body responds. Folks with the band lose slower, over a longer time. You still have time left. Slight changes should help.
I noticed a plateau, for the last 9 plus months. Grateful that I had lost nearly 100 pounds since my RNY 19 months ago. Then over the last month or so, started losing a bit again. I finally topped the 100# loss. Thrilled to death that I have not been gaining, just maintaining.
Take this one day at a time, we are still works in progress. Enjoy spring when it finally arrives. Come share often, we are here for each other. Happy May Day.

Not only can plateaus be long but frustrating as can be. Hang in. I agree up the protein and fluids a bit, and by upping the protein, the calories will be upped a tad bit too. When our body feels deprived, it will hold on stubbornly to those lbs.
Remember too sometimes wls only helps with 60 to 80% of excess weight loss, but with all of your activity and eating well, you should be able to lose the rest. Loss is slower and slower as we get farther out from surgery, but with the band, you can see loss up to 3 years out! Don't give up!
Hope all the rest of your challenges get better.
