Welcome to the group Mindy, congrats  on your success.  Balancing blood sugar and meals is a juggle at times.  Do you have diabetes, or just the hypoglycemia?  If diabetes and you are on meds, definitely time to adjust your meds.  If not, you may need to add just a bit of carbohydrate with your protein to help the meal digest a little more slowly.  Check with your nutritionist for specific ideas.  I am diabetic and love that I no longer need to take insulin.  My blood sugar is controlled with pills.

Post often and share, we are here for the mutual support.  I had my RNY sept 2009.  Loving it, still working on losing more weight and taking this day by day.  Hugs

Hello and welcome to the group! Steadying out the blood sugars can be a bit tricky, but with practice, can usually be done. Just have to figure out what your body responds best to. Some carbs may help but be sure they are complex carbs and not simple carbs. Use whole grains, fruits and veggies. 5 SMALL meals daily can help as well. keep the protein intake up. Best of luck.
