Hi everybody.  I spent almost all day today answering my email and responding to posts.  This is the first day since surgery that I have felt halfway normal.  I didn't get anything else accomplished today but at least I was able to be up and about the house.  I also had a decent night's sleep last night which helped.

Before I forget, I just wanted to say welcome to our new members.  This is a great group; please don't be afraid to post, ask questions or just babble like I do!

I finally got the other drain pulled yesterday.  During the exam the surgeon was pretty sure he had found a blood clot near my abdominal incision.  They numbed it up and tried to asperate (sp?) it with a syringe but it didn't work so they ushered me to the surgical area, numbed it up again and sliced open a portion of the incision to clean out the clot.  I guess it wasn't too bad but it was just weird to be awake during this.  The stitches were very uncomfortable.  But otherwise everything is healing nicely and he was particularly happy with my arms.  He said he is pretty sure that I will have just a very thin, white line on my underarms.  It was a lot of surgery to have all at once, along with the addition of the goo sack they found and then the kidney failure.  I wish I had taken into account the recuperation time I would need.  It's been pretty rough and I am now rethinking my position on getting the rest of it done; I do not want to go through all this again, but I'm not sure I can live with my thighs the way they are.

Is there anybody who thinks they lost too much weight?  I'm 10lb. below goal and I'm starting to look like a skeleton. I'm seriously thinking of trying to put on 10 or 15 pounds.  My mom started telling me I was losing too much at around the 155 point and I am now down to about 135. I expected to lose some weight due to the plastics but that didn't happen.

Right now, I'm just trying to get back to what passes for normal for me; running to the store, going to church, etc.
My house looks like a herd of buffalo ran through here.  I've loads of chores that need to be done but I'm just going to do what I can and try not to push myself too hard.

Well that's all for me.  I hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi Colleen,   WOW Sounds like you had a lot done at one time. I feel I'm just now fully recuperated from WLS followed by the gallbladder surgery. You are one strong woman.  I know about the house not being in order. Although it might be frustrating to look at, it will wait for you to feel better. Take care of yourself.    Mag

Colleen, we do not want you skelatal, visit with your surgeon, work on an acceptable weight range for you.  The house cleaning can wait, or be put out for hire for a little while.  A little layer of dust is needed for the bunnies to reproduce wildly.  Ane with easter just around the corner, you can do with a bunny or two in residence.  Hehehehehe

Love to see pics of your plastics if you care to share, nothing you can't share around the kitchen table with friends.

I look forward to reading your babble, feel free to have diarrhea of the mouth as often as you desire.  Congrats on successful plastics.  Take the recovery just one day at a time.  Hugs
