Do a little dance...

So I'm now in a size 13/14 from a plus-sized 26.  I am now smaller than my sister, who is having a complete conniption fit about this (LOL), I'm diabetes free, getting fit through running and various sports activities and have an incredible support system.

I recently went to a family reunion and I was so tickled by the reactions of my family.  Several people didn't have a clue who I was, including my own grandfather (whom I haven't seen in four years).

So yup, I'm doing a little dance and truly enjoying my life.  I'm participating in a half marathon on May 15th for Team Diabetes, which I will be running.  How cool is that?

Those "WOW" moments are great, aren't they? Good luck on the marathon for both you and your cause.

Good going!!!!  I just read your post to my sister. she is scared that I am going to pass her by. I can't wait til it comes true. She said she would take me out for ice cream when I am smaller than her. I don't think so. We had a good laugh. She is also losing weight and hoping that she can stay below me.    Mag

Even though it may be mean of me, but since my sister has been tall and skinny and everyone always said she should be a model my whole life. And now she has gained weight and I am the skinny one, it feels AWESOME!!!!!!!! No I don't wish her ill health, I just wanted my moment to outshine her for once. And man do I have it now. So yeah that feels AWESOME!!!!

We are allowed to feel happy, satisfied even glorious. We went through alot of "stuff" being heavy. We missed out, well now we are taking our lives back. So you enjoy with me, Like I did for you, or you watch me pass.

Dance girl dance, and run for everyone that cant. (just yet) we will get there with you.

The sister stories cracked me up. My sister is not only 16 years younger than me but has never been bigger than a size 8. Last week she tells me I look great but better not get skinnier than her!! I told her that it would be hilarious if she were the fat sister.

WTG.  I think it is so funny that ur own grandfather didnt recognize you.  But I have looked at these b4 and after pics on here and there are very few that look like the same person.

We were thinking of getting married this october.. told my sister that.  Well when she saw me she told me that by then she would be the "Fat sister".  Hillairous.  I have always been significatly heavier than both of my sisters.  But the last few years both are putting on weight.  I would love to be smaller than them for just a moment.  Not to rub it in or anything.  I am sure that once I get closer to their weights that they will be all gungHO on losing weight and such.

So dance your lil dance and always remember these moments and how you felt.
