I was just curious if i was the only one in this whole wide group that has had this version of gastric bypass done. its supposed to prevent stretching of the stomach.

I have heard of this, you are the first that I know of with it.  Your surgeon must have thought this was best.  Did they put in an adjustable band or just a fixed band?

I didn't know there was any such thing.  It would stand to reason that down the road, when your pouch would stretch simply due to normal usage, that a band would be a great back up.  It must be something very new; my surgeon never mentioned it.

I hope it works out well for you.
