Hello all.  I just wanted to say hi and welcome any new people who have arrived.  I just got out of the hospital.  I went for my first round of PS and when they started on the tummy tuck they discovered that my belly button had wrapped itself around the edge of the netting that was used to repair the hernias I had a couple of months ago.  Apparently it created a sack of goo and the PS surgeon called in a general surgeon to consult on the procedure.  I did get the plastic surgery done and the sack but they couldn't save my belly button.  What was supposed to be an o/n stay ended up being almost a week.  It also is a little scary thinking about what might have happened if that sack had broken open

I got the tummy tuck, brachioplasty, and breast lift and augmentation complete.  I haven't seen my boobs yet but they appear to be exactly what I was aiming for.

Anyway, just wanted to check in.  It seems like I have been gone forever.

Glad to hear that things are heading the right way Colleen.  I would be fine without a navel.  Don't plan on piercing or showing it off in the future.  Then I don't care to show off my navel now either, lol.

Looking forward to reading your posts again, now that you are home.  Heal quickly my friend.  Hugs

Hi Colleen, welcome back. Sorry to hear about the naval complication but glad things went well otherwise. I keep wondering whether I will need and be able to afford a PS myself. Probably not (the "afford" part anyway!) I do wish I could get a brachioplasty at least, my arms are already hanging with skin.

Thank you ladies.  I just got home from being in not one but two different ER's at two different hospitals.  I think it was a blunder on the part of the resident physician that I had to deal with this but at least it was nothing major and I'm home again.  I did also get to see my surgeon in between other surgeries he was doing today.  He basically ripped off all of my dressings and said that surgically, I'm doing fine.  It was good to get that nasty stuff off of me and get fresh dressings.  I got the prescriptions squared away and will hopefully have a much better night than last night.

Thanks again for the well-wishes!

That's a new one on me, Tammy.  I would imagine that it would depend on the condition of the skin but it makes sense to me.  I'm not sure but I think I'm done with surgery.  There were two more procedures I planned on but I don't think I'm up to more surgery.  The plastics I just had really took it's toll.  I'm at least going to take a good, long, break.

I agree, give yourself plenty of time to heal, who knows in a few years you will be ready for what you planned. I am fearful of having too much done at once.. Im a wuss..lol.. If I know its going to be worse... NOPE... I was thinking of doing my arms first.. tummy can be more hidden..and boobs.. well.. they are not going anywhere but down.. LOL... I am sure all will be done sooner than I realize it..
