Full bar??
I was wondering if anyone has tried the Full Bar... I want to try it but not sure it would be a good idea after GB.... I still can't eat as much as I could before my surgery ( which is a great thing) but am noticing that I am getting more of the psych.hunger.. as in wanting to eat something, anything as long as I can put it in my mouth even though I am not hungry.. it is frustrating me and figured if the full bar truly fills one up, then perhaps I will be so full with it ( that it makes me sick) so I wont have any psych cravings.
Any suggestions are appreaciated:)
FYI I have now lost 110 lbs in 11 months and feel great.. need to lose another 25-30 lbs and then I can maintain:)
To all who are just out of surgery and for those going in real soon... GOOD LUCK on your weight loss journey...

I thinking a great big NOOOOOOOOOO, don't try this. I was researching them for weight loss before surgery. Full bars are designed to expand and fill your stomach after you eat them. They are meant to be eaten with a full glass of water to activate the puffing up part. Your pouch would be miserable, this is part of the reason for limiting rice and pasta too. These foods continue to absorb liquids after eaten and can swell up in your pouch.
Time to contact your nutritionist about options and consider talking to someone about the issues that are leading you to want to graze when not hungry. Is it boredom, habit, there is something causing these behaviors. I applaud your success during the last 11 months, wonderful results. Now time to work on life skills to prevent regain of those unwanted pounds.
Try distraction Davina, get yourself out of the space where eating feels comfortable, take a walk, read a book, bubble bath, start a jar of ideas for things to do instead of eating. Draw one or two ideas of the jar and do one of them for a few minutes till the urge passes.

Thanks Kathy!! I am glad I asked before buying them. The funny thing about the whole grazing thing is that I am actually more busy with my hands now than before my surgery because I have just started knitting about a month ago. I taught myself by watching youtube video tutorials and am getting pretty good at it, So I do not understand the whole grazing thing at all.. I am busy, I am active, even if I have just eaten I get that weird psych craving to just put something in my mouth. It is the same craving I had when I quit smoking.. I had a dumdum in my mouth everytime I got that psych craving, but now I can't do that..hahaha. I have tried gum and that will satisfy it for a little while but I am always worried when I chew gum that I will swallow it by accident and it get stuck. I just don't know what is going on with me but I have an appointment with my surgeon on the 22nd so I will talk to him and my nut.
Thanks for the info and support Kathy:)
