Bariatric Buddy
My usual rambling
Hello to all.
It's been awhile since I got on here and rambled. The last week or 2 has been kind of a mixed bag, emotionally speaking and I'm dealing with it by shopping instead of eating, which is what I used to do. I never thought I would make my goal weight, let alone go below it by `10 pounds. I go for my first round of plastics on Tuesday. I am having my arms done, breast lift and augmentation and abdominoplasty. I'm not very well educated on the medical terminology. Is abdominoplasty the same thing as a tummy tuck? I keep looking at the before and after pictures from the surgeons website. They actually had me go through their photo album so that I could show them the look I wanted. They ran a copy so that I have it to take with me to the hospital. I did my research but really it seems like plastic surgery is a "craps shoot." You just have to hope for the best possible outcome. At least they didn't lie to me when I asked them if they ever had problems. It doesn't always go smoothly but based on my interactions with Dr. Kelly and his staff, I feel quite comfortable about choosing him to do this. My second round will be in about 8 weeks or so and will be done on an out patient basis. That's when they will do my neck and inner thighs. I have a pair of size 8 jeans that fit me perfectly, but all the 12's and most of the 10's are falling off. I bought a gorgeous Perry Ellis swimsuit; it's a one piece, black strapless with a skirted bottom. I just love it and it was on clearance so I went for it. The one problem is the closest they had to my size was a 6 so I'm hoping it will fit after the plastics are done. I have 5 brand new bathing suits that are all too big for me now. I think I wore one of them twice and the rest once. I think I'll hang on to them for the garage sale come spring.
I decided against any facial surgery. I am going to quit buying the cheap make-up and skin care and am switching to Lancome. They had a free gift with $25 purchase and I bought a jar of moisturizer to get the free make-up. I absolutely love it; I can wear it all day long under my make up and my skin still feels soft and clean. I went back yesterday and bought the skin care regimine and am going to go back (maybe today) to start purchasing the cosmetics. It's a little pricey but well worth the money. I'm hoping that this will help with wrinkles I have that used to be filled with fat.
Well I guess I should shut up now. Have a great day everybody!
Colleen
