Hello everyone,

I had to go back to work yesterday.  It was hard but I was not as tired as I thought I would be.  I am not drinking enough, though.  I need to work on that.

Does anyone have any ideas for foods I can take with me to work that I can eat cold?  I don't do well with microwaving thing.  Yesterday I had dairy all day and I felt sick all day.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Just curious, when was your surgery? I had mine on 3/4 and I return to work on 3/30, not looking forward to it mainly because I am afraid I will be too tired.

I had my surgery on 1/25.  I had to take an extra two weeks off because of not meeting my nutritional goal.   Not by a long shot.  I had eight weeks off total.  I am a nurse and I had my surgery at the hospital where I work so the doctor knows my schedule and what my floor/service is like.  He said it was too much for me to go back so soon.

I cant say enough good things about Think Thin protien bars. Also baked chicken is great cold. You can order the bars at  www.thinkproducts.com

I use a lot of dairy at work too.  I am a nurse working night shift.  Greek yogurt, cheese sticks, cottage cheese (consider atting a little fruit or french dressing for different flavor), took refried beans with shredded cheese quite a bit at first, (gotta nuke it in the microwave to melt the cheese), turkey chili.  Now I take leftovers of whatever was for supper.  I get over half of my daily liquids in during my work shift.  Spending more time drinking instead of eating.

Hope your return to work goes smoothly.  Hugs
