Hi everyone! New to the site.  I'll be getting gastric bypass (hopefully) within a couple months.  I already went through my insurance's required 6 month wait and now I'm ready!  I'm so excited!

Welcome to the group Jenners.  Sharing your excitement with you.  Any questions that rise as you wait?  Feel free to ask any and all questions.  Not much is off limits here.

I am thrilled with the results of my RNY to this point.  Not giving up on losing more.  At 1.5 years out, or close to that, I am working on lifestyle changes.  My knees are thankful for less of he to move about.  Spring, and clear sidewalks are just around the corner.  I know that today is officially the first day of spring, just waiting for the weather to match the season.  Snow is melting off some of local sidewalks.

Do what you can to incorporate the new life skills to your day to day life.  This is a livelong habit that we are building.  Hugs

Hi and welcome to the site.  Glad to see you posting already.  This is a fabulous group to be in.  I normally check in everyday, so feel free to post and ask questions or voice frustration, and dont forget to tell us yout successes as well.  Congrats on your upcoming surgery.

I will be 3 months out april 3.  So far I have lost 16 pounds on pre-op diet, 32 pounds withing 1st 6 weeks, and another 19 since. Total of 66.7.  I am not finding it too difficult to follow the plan.  I still go to eat out, but choose healthier choices and have atleast 4 meals from the leftovers.  I am full of energy.  My biggest complaint since surgery is having trouble sleeping more than 5 hours at a time.  All I want is just 1 night a week where I sleep 8 hours.  That would be so totally sweet.

Try to prepare ur body for the surgery before it happens.  Avoid simple carbs and get plenty of protein and water in.
