Survived my 1st party

My son came home from college yesterday and left for a Spring Break vacation today( rough life he has). I had a birthday party for him at the house last night complete with his favorite foods: pizza, cheesy bread, salad and a HoHo cake. Oddly enough I found myself wishing I could have some of the salad, I miss raw veggies. The good news is that I had a yogurt and didn't really care what anyone else was eating/drinking. I was so nervous that it would be torture but it wasn't and I hope it stays that way.

congrats on passing up the JUNK food.  Yogurt is always a turn to food for me, even if I have alraedy had one for the day.  It helps to keep that sweet tooth of mine at bay.

Have a great weekend!

((((((Michelle)))))))) Congrats on wise decisions at the party.  Nice to be able to enjoy the company and not focus on the food.  I too missed salad when I could not have it yet.

I hope your son is getting good grades in college.  Enjoy the time with him, what little it sounds like you are getting.  Hugs

Thanks!! Luckily my son is  a good student and usually Deans List. He is on his college drumline, so I see him almost every weekend during football season and miss him like crazy the rest of the time. Lucky for me I have another son, one year older, still at home otherwise the empty nest syndrome would be killing me!! They are both my biggest support system.

Yay for you!  It probably will stay that way, don't worry.  =)
