Feeling Good

Hello Everybody,

Just wanted to fill everybody in on my progress. I haven't posted much but I do come in everyday and read all the post. Hard to respond from by Droid.

So I am now down 31 lbs. I have to adjust my ticker. My weight doesn't fall as fast as most people but I have to say my body is toning down well. I started at a size 22 and now I am down to a size 16. Feels great as I have alot of clothes I haven't been able to where in 5 years. Told my husband I will have to start shopping soon as I don't have sizes smaller then a 16.

I go the Y every other day. No so much this week as a friends 22 year old son passed away and I have been at her house all week helping out. Its been saddest thing I have ever experienced. All I can say about that is to cherish your kids every day and tell them you love them everyday!!  But will get back on track tomorrow.

I have 6 more lbs to go to be at 199 lbs. I can't wait  I was hoping to be there by Wednesday my next doctors appt but I know its not going to happen :( . Oh well maybe another 2 weeks. Will be placed on a regular life meal plan on Wednesday. I have bought 2 hungry girl cookbooks. Anxious to try some of those recipes.

Sevral people at work of course have noticed my weight loss and they do not know I have had RNY surgery. I just tell them strict diet and lots of exercise. They say I look fabulous which makes me smile. Wonder if they still will have those same thoughts If they knew I WLS. Some people are strange that way.

Well I have a busy day today so I better get going. I have to do an exercise tape first since I won't make it to the gym today.

oh by the way I have noticed a few new people on board. Welcome to you newbies. Know that you are doing the right thing and you will feel so good about yourselves :)

Good to see ya posting.  Hope you have a great day.   Congrats on ur success so far.  I know how it feels to lose those inches and have to go to a smaller size.  Best feeling of my life!  Now when I get to an 18 I will probably do cart wheels.. hehe

SO sorry to hear about your friends loss though.  Life can be so unfair sometimes.  I try not to question GOD, but sometimes I wonder why he takes this person instead of that.  Its a fleeting thought.  I then remember that he has a plan for all of us and we are only here as long as it takes for that plan to play out.

Thanks Fran,

It does feel great. I will be doing cart wheels when I get out of the 200's. I am so close!!!  I am loving getting into the smaller sizes as well. I go to the mall now and shop the clearance racks and buy size medium tops as I am now in larges. I think by end of April or May I may be there. (I hope so anyways). I don't think I will ever make small. But I am ok with medium.

Yes Eric's passing was hard on everybody. Such a talented kid. Just broke my heart and to see him mom so grief stricken is just so sad. I have been hugging my kids alot lately, and letting them know just how much they are loved. It kinda makes you take notice not to take nothing for granted.

I have been following your posts. You are doing fabulous yourself. Good job!! and your humour always makes me laugh as I can relate :)

Thank you Mag,

I see you are doing fabulous as well. Are you recovered from your gallbladder surgery?  Are you feeling better?

Sounds like you are doing great. So sorry to hear about your friends son. My boys are 21 and 22 and my heart goes out to her, there is no way to ever be prepared for that. The number of clothes sizes you have dropped in incredible, way to go!!

Thank you, The loss and sadness if overwhelming. He was such a talented kid. Marcy my friend will mourn Eric forever. But she has another son that has been a rock. We are all supporting her and letting her know she is not alone.

Loving wearing smaller sizes, it's an amazing feeling. The trick is exercise, exercise, exercise. I do both cardo and weight training. About and hour of both every other day or more if I can manage it. Hoping to try Zumba this week, been wanting to try it but the classes are held on Tuesday nights and every Tuesday for the past month there has been a conflict in timing. Really hoping nothing comes up this Tuesday!

Thanks Jane, and by the way I read your blog. Stop beating yourself up girlfried, 86 lbs is FABULOUS!! really we all have days where we think we should be doing better. Look at me I had surgery 2 months ago and I have only lost 33 lbs (as of this morning). Everybody else at the same time frame is down 20 lbs more. You have to look at the good, If I didn't have this surgery then I would still be 33 lbs heavier and sitting on my couch. I did something about it and felling better for it and so did you. And by the way you are looking great!!
