So today I worked out on the Active 2 and I burned over 400 calories.. I am super excited that I did this.. Most of my workouts I have only been burning a lil over 100 cal... If I can just stay focused and continue burning this many calories a day this weight should melt off... I am very proud of myself cause there is no way i could of done a workout so intence for so long before.. Cant wait till my next weight in in April. I try not to weight my self every day or month even.. Most of my weight ins I wait till I am at the doctor cause there scale is more accurate then mine.. it also takes away the stess of the numbers doing weight ins less often... I hope everyone is doing great and have a wonderful blessed day...

Congrats, that's great. I look forward to that day. I joined the Silver Sneakers at my local Y so I basically work out M-F for an hour with a group of retired people and let me tell you, they can run circles around me. They have all been very supportive and I will miss them when I have to return to work. I was just weighing in at the doctor's office also, however, I broke down today and bought a home scale. It also measures body fat and hydration so hopefully I will be able to focus on that and not the weight. I haven't lost much weight since the surgery but I have lost inches and went down a pant size so I am trying to focus on that. It gets frustrating though since the 1st thing people ask me is how much have you lost!  Keep up the good work, Michelle

Hey Michelle, All excersize adds up so whether its walking or running it all makes a difference.. I am curious to were you got your home scale at and what it cost? I would love to have one like that. I also understand the frustration of everyone askin about the weight loss.. We have slow weeks and months sometimes with our weight loss.. When did you have your surgery? Hope to talk to you soon. Take care

CONGRATs!!!!  It is always wonderful to push yourself harder and realize that  you CAN do it.  I love to be pushed out of my comfort zone.  I went to my first class at Bally's tonight.  Step!  Well it was advanced and I havent done it in 4ever.  I think that I did very well and kept up pretty good.  Even the instructor commented that I had rhythm and that I would get all the steps the more I come.  Still dont know what the heck the "U step"is and the grapevine...  forget it.  I kept moving though.

Weigh****chers has a scale that will measure body fat as well, but I havent used it.  Lost the book it came with.  Think I paid $30 or a little less.  Got it from "BED BATH & BEYOND".  sure walmart has one.  I got the weigh****chers because it went up to 400 pounds and I was close to that (360 pounds)

my trainer pushed me yesterday and my abdominals are so sore.  But it makes me feel so great that I worked out so hard.  I use a heating pad on my soreness when I go to bed.  I have one that shuts off in 2 hours.  I am in a dead sleep by then.

Congrats Sabrina.  Love to hear of others getting in the exercise.  I am starting to see the sidewalks again.  Looking forward to getting out with the dogs again soon.  They are getting excited about walks too.  I have a Wii, getting ready to install it in my new studio space.  I didn't have room to move about and do any exercises in the basement.  Just gotta get the wires hooked up to the TV.  Maybe this weekend.  Working long hours has me exhausted most days.  I always feel better when I can get in some exercise.

I started jogging a little on the treadmill at the gym.  Using an interval setting, 2 min walk, 2 min jog.  Amazing that I can job at all.  Keep up the great workouts.  Hugs

I agree with you completely on weighing in at the doctor's office.  As time goes by and your body changes so much though, you'll be tempted!  lol.  I know that I have yet to buy a battery for my scale (since November) so I don't weigh in daily.  But if I'm at Walmart and see a scale (which wasn't accurate lol) or at another doctor's office, I'll weigh in to see how I'm doing.  Congrats!

Kathy, I totally understand about not having time to work out.. Ive had to make myself find time but its not always easy. You have done a great job though losing the weight..
Jane, when was your surgery? Yeah I get tempted to weight alot also but if I do I dont let the numbers get me down at all.. I am happy with whatever my weight is cause its alot less then 372. I am now at 290 which is alot of weight since Jan 10th when I had my surgery.. Take care and look forward to talkin to you some more..
