just broke down and bought me some new jeans.  the ones I had on today were basically falling off my hips all day. I also had to throw a pair out because the were wore thin and had holes between the thighs.. ladies understand this I am sure.  Anyways I was in a very tight 24 (probably should have been in a 26) before and now I am in a snug 22  (they feel like they are made smaller than the ones that I had before).  Gonna measure the difference in these old ones and the new ones..  Either way I have some clothes that fit and are flattering.  Also went to Ross's and got me some tops.  They were still 3x, but were different types of shirts than I would of wore before.  The are fitted shirts vs loose and baggy shirts.   Will hopefully get some pics  taken this weekend and will post here

sad face was for the $$$ that i spent.  Hopefully I get 2 months of wear out of them.  Good news is that I got them all on sale.  Reg priced at $35, I paid 10 for 2 pair, 12 for 1 pair, and 15 for the other pair.  I can say that my last 4 pair of jeans have been through hell and back.  Have had them for 5 years.  Didn't really buy alot of clothes before.  Hate spending the money on clothes that I hoped I wouldn't be in for long.  Just never lost the weight.  Last time I bought clothes was last year for a wedding.  That is when I realized how big I had gotten.  Came out of the store crying.  Went out to eat.  And ate way more than I should have.  Then felt like crap.

Sorry didn't mean to make you think this was BAD

Tis alright Fran.  Go ahead and use the smiley/frown as you like.  I also understand the not wanting so spend $$ of clothes that you will not be using for long.

I was just giving you a hard time, lol.  I am celebrating with you.  Hugs

Good for you Fran, that had to be a great feeling. About 6 months ago I had gone through my closet and given away everything smaller than a 24 or 26 having given up on the idea of ever fitting into them again. It was shortly after that I decided I was going to seriously look into the surgery and now I wish I still had the clothes. It  would have kept me from needing to by new sizes so soon, but who knew?! Have you seen the commercial for " pajama jeans"? I don't know anyone who has tried them but I'm seriously considering since they are elastic waist with a drawsting I'm thinking maybe they would make it though a few size changes. Luckily scubs can be baggy so I plan on wearing the ones I have until they literally fall off.

I have a pair of pajama jeans.  They are fairly comfortable and have an inner, drawstring waist so you could always keep wearing them for a bit before they were just too big.  I wish I had listened to the advise before hand about buying at thrift stores.  I have had to donate at least 10 pairs of jeans that I purchased, thinking I wasn't going to lose anymore weight and that was 50 pounds ago and I am still losing.  I went from a tight 24 to a comfortable size 8 and haven't had my plastics done yet,  No more clothes until after the plastics.

Thanks Colleen, I'm going to order a pair. Thrift stores are a good idea for shopping, will have to keep that in mind too.
