Two NSV's
Just popping in to share two things that happened this weekend:
First, I went to see my daughter in a play last night. A friend who used to weigh about the same as me, and started Weigh****chers the week after I had surgery, came with me, and we ended up sitting next to each other. Well, it occurred to me this morning that a few months ago, we would have been SO uncomfortable in those theater seats side by side... I used to always try to make sure I sat next to the skinniest person in my group, because I knew I would spill over into the seat next to me. But I'm down 65 lbs, she's down 22 lbs (which I think is pretty darn impressive for 6 weeks *without* surgery!), and although we did touch each other on the sides, it wasn't uncomfortably close - it didn't feel like either of us was squeezing into our seat!
Second, this morning I was talking to a friend who happened to see my driver's license and said "that doesn't look like you at all!" I had to remind him that it WAS what I looked like 65 lbs ago. I don't see the weight loss in my face much, although I notice it a LOT in my clothes (down form a 24/26 to an 18). I wouldn't have thought anyone would notice it in just a head shot, but apparently I was wrong!

Cool Lisa, gotta love all the NSV's. Yes, others will notice the difference. I still catch myself wondering who that gal is in the mirror. I haven't changed my ID photo at work yet, every once in a while someone notices the difference. For some reason, the tag flips around and the back of the tag shows as often as the front. I work in a small unit, the staff all know each other's names and our patients get to know us quickly too.
Gotta enjoy the seating when you can sit next to anyone you wish. I too used to overfill the seat, my hubby is also large, we still cuddle to allow more room on his other side for the next person. Works well, until the room becomes overly warm. Still love to snuggle though. Take the times when I can get them.
Congrats on your loss to this point, happy losing Lisa. Hugs
