Opened my big mouth #&&#%

I had to open my big mouth.
Me: "what part of my abs are these crunches working?"
Personal Trainer: " your upper".
ME: what exercises would work the lower abdominal muscles?". Personal Trainer: "these would" (demonstrates 2 different exercises).

I was really only asking to make sure where I was sore at was right where I should be sore at and it was nothing dealing with my surgery.

Wouldnt you know it... Sure enough there I was on that machine lying with my feet crossed at the ankles and up in the air....  Only 2 sets each, but then add that with the 4 sets of regular crunches.. Ummm  .. I am thinking that maby I am gonna bring out the heating pad and let it rest on my whole abdomen.

 Not really complaining.  It sure felt good to get out of my comfort zone and push my body to a new limit.  Love my personal trainer (katie).   She is "old school".  Using free weights and my body weight for all the exercises.   Just bought 48 more sessions.  Will last me for 6 months if I go twice a week.  I told Katie that I wanted to do another workout during the week on my own as well.

You go girl.  Gotta love the ones that speak up.  Go crunches.  Hang in there, tylenol to the rescue.  Hugs

Yeah I have always been told I have a big mouth.  But believe it or not I always had a passive nature about me.  I would never open my mouth when it really counted.

Didnt have to take the tylenol.. just slept with the heating pad on it for 2 hours.   Slight soreness today, but only in the lower abs.

becareful with your questions. You may not like the answer. On the other hand, when your sore you know that you worked hard. Good for you!!

Fran,

its great how motivated you are with your exercise. but I have to say that was funny, lol. I too am trying to get out of my comfort level with the weights, but man do they ever burn your muscles. Feels good at the end of the work out though. Can't afford a trainer yet. Hoping to but some savings together in the next couple of months.

Great job on the weight loss, noticed the number on your ticker has changed !!!

Thank you.  It is not cheap and I know that I could probably use the money for something else, but I feel that I need this right now.  I just took a big chunk of my refund and then financed the rest to get myself 48 more sessions.  Will drop down to going just twice a week to make them last for about 6 months.  Then I am sure I will be on my own.  Or maybe I can save up to get another 6 months worth.  Who knows.

I love to feel my muscles burn during exercies.  I do however make the most horrible faces as I am struggling with them.. LOL..  When I look in the mirror though I see my mom in my reflection, meaning I am noticing that I am looking more like her).  Sorta makes me feel like she is looking down from heaven cheering me on and telling me to "work that a$$".

Hope you are doing well after your surgery.  My ticker is moving, slowly, but it is moving.  I raelly dont want to lose 32 pounds every month.  I am shooting for more like 14 or 15.  Not sure what the surgeon is looking for either.  But I do know that i have to do what is best for me.  I am eating on plan with the exception of eating a couple of stonewheat crackers a day, but NUT said I could have 1/2 piece of toast.  So I guess in a way the crackers are my toast but with just a little more calories and probably more carbs.

Maybe someone can help me out with this. I'm thinking that if you have your Dr. give you a prescription for the exercise classes as health necessity, the cost over the year can be added as a tax deduction next year under medical. Although you have to meet the criteria to do it.

Good luck, I didn't feel myself for quite a few months at the beginning, it will all work out.
