Sorry I missed Monday's chat

I am really mad at myself.  I had hope to have been up for chat yesterday.  I worked Sunday graveyard shift, went to a md appt, then went to the gym.  

Well I was told my that my appt was at 0900 and I got there at 0845 to do a warm-up.  Well when I got there they tell me that its not til 0930.  No way that I can workout for 45minutes and then do an hour session with the personal trainer.  So I do 10 minutes on the elliptical and just wait.  All-in-all my session lasted about 45 minutes.  I did very well with it.  Worked hard and worked up a nice sweat, got my heart rate up, and got winded.  I did 10 min warm-up on the cross trainer while we talked.  Then she had me do a circuit of cardio followed by a set of strength training.  I did 3 different types of exercises using the weighted bar: squats, tricep/bicep, and shoulder.  I did 2 sets of each.  In between each set I did a cardio workout: step-ups with knee lifts, jumping jacks, and running up and down a step real fast.  I also did 2 sets of abdominal crunches.  Best part of it all was when I laid down on a bench and she stretched my hamstrings for me..  WOW, didn't realize how flexible I was. 

Needless to say after this I came home and went straight to bed.  Slept til 530.  Then TEC wanted to go out for dinner.  SO we did.  We got home around 730p and I went back to bed til 1130p.  LOL..  lovely catnap.

I feel good today, but sore.  Have some discomfort in my arms and my shoulders, but it isn't too bad.  My left thigh is what is killing me.  It is muscle pain.  Even had a deep massage today to try to help with the soreness.  Guess I will have to tell the trainer about it tomorrow and see what kinda workout we can do to work around it.

Trying to get all my water in today and more in order to flush out the by products of the exercise and the massage.

I missed chat too Fran.  I was at our local wls group meeting.  Ordered samples of New Whey protein and we had a taste testing session.  Some of the flavors are alright, not sure about the others.  Have to do more research, there is also collagen protein in it.  Not just whey protein.  I plan to be a chat next monday for part of the session.  Also our anniversary next mon/tues.  The actual date is feb 29th and next year we can celebrate on the 29th.  A real anniversary every 4 years.

Good to be a little sore after exercise can be good, take a dose of tylenol and work different areas next session to allow your mucsles time to heal.  Good to aim for extra fluids to flush the exercise toxins from your system.

Hi,  I was wondering. Do you prefer Frances over Fran? I just noticed you signature today.  You've been a very busy lady. I'm nowhere ready for the gym yet. Hoping to get back to walking by this weekend. I'm so proud of you.  Mag

hey. Fran is fine. I go by either. My FMIL calls me Frannie and she's the only one to live and tell about it. LOL. She means it as a term of endearment. Patients at work have tried it but I tell them to all me FRAN.

Yeppers been busy week. Gotta push myself or I will fall back into old habits. 2 sessions with personal trainer 1 more tp go (tomorrow). Loving the feeling of giving 110%. Alone I couldn't or wouldn't do that. I want to make the most of these first few months.
