Just tried
Low sugar instant oatmeal made with milk and added beneprotein (definitell not tasteless). I pureed it. All-in-all it wasnt too bad. Could taste the protein just a tad. I think that I will definitely eat this again. I need to get some fiber in my diet. Plus this is whole grain. Hopefully my pouch will continue to love it. Definitely has less fat than my usual breakfast (egg w/ shredded cheese & dannon L&F yogurt). I was getting so sick of eating the same thing over and over again.
I also saw someone using quinoa for greakfast.. where htey prepared it then put a fried egg (runny) on top of it. I klinda liked that idea as well. Just dont know how to prepare quinoa or how long it would keep. Any ideas on the quinoa? Heard that it is suppose to be really good for us. i'm 6 weeks, too early to be eating it?

Careful on the carbs in the am.. if you begin to feel drowsier than usual, try to see if it connects to eating the oatmeal. For some it triggers craving and fatigue.. others are fine with it.
QUINOA is awesomeeeeeeeee. It is the ONLY food that is not meat that is a complete protein and has lots of other nutritional value too. You should be able to eat it, just take little bitty bites, as it may puff up a bit in your tummy. Its behavior is kinda rice like (puffs when cooked or water added).
It cooks on low for about 20 minutes, a lot like rice again. I store it for up to 3 or 4 dAYS IN the fridge and it is fine. I love it mixed with oatmeal too, 1/2 and 1/2, a little cinnimon, splenda, and raisins or craisens...nummylicious!

Love quinoa, I keep it for several days in the refrigerator. I found that I make my own oatmeal, flavored with cinnamon and splenda, mix it with the quinoa. The mixture of oatmeal and quinoa keeps well for a couple of days in the fridge and heats up well too.
I have also used the quinoa in soups instead of pasta. It is easy to prepare, just follow the directions on the package. Find this grain in the health foods area of the store. I spent time in the pasta isle looking for it, no luck. Just use it in small amounts as you find out if your pouch likes it.
As far as fiber, I add fiber to each and every glass of crystal light I drink. I use generic benefiber, mixes quickly into the fluid and has no flavor, no texture. Works wonderful. Hugs
