On Sunday, I bought a pair of pantyhose.  Now, they're still size Q=plus, but they're regular Leggs brand - not "Just My Size" which I've been stuck with for years.  I generally avoid wearing them, but this time of year I don't have a choice unless I want to wear pants (which I hate, but I've been doing all winter).

I was pretty sure they wouldn't fit, but according to the package I'm right at the high end of the weight range, so I put them on this morning.  They fit!  So now I'm wearing good pantyhose for the first time in years (the off brands I had to buy to get the 3x and 4x sizes are awful), a size 2x skirt that was way to small a month ago, and a size 22 top that's been in my closet unworn for 2 years (someone gave it to me, but it was too small).  I actually feel like I look GOOD today!

Sorry, I know how self-centered that sounds... but I haven't felt this confident walking around the building at work as long as I've been here!  Now I don't want to sit behind my desk today - I want to be seen lol!

nothing self-centered about this at all.  If you feel you look good, then you are just taking stock!  Enjoy it.  Afterall if we cannot love ourselves, then who is gonna love us?  So now heres the thing.  Get someone to take a picture of you at this moment in your NEW well fitting outfit!  I want to see!

I too had one of these NSV (took me a moment to figure out what that stood for).  I bought a shirt last march/april for a wedding.  I actually bought 2 because I did not know which one I was gonna wear. The one that I liked was a little too snug on me, but I figured i could lose the weight.  WRONG!  Its been sitting in the closest with the tag on it since.  I however took it out and wore it this weekend.  It fit wonderful.  It looked nice and I felt great in it.  I forgot to get a picture though.  POUTS..  Might dress up in it on V-day and have TEC take a pic of me.

You are doing great!  Enjoyed our chat last night!  Have a great day!  Getting ready to go to my work to see if Im gonna be able to go back this week or not.  Keep ur fingers crossed. will keep u posted!

Ok Fran, I'm stumped.  What does NSV stand for?  I've a feeling I'm in for a "duh" moment.

I agree with Fran, picture time Lisa.  You deserve to enjoy your success.  Congrats and thanks for sharing your good news.  Strut your stuff girl, take lots of breaks to get up from your desk and move about the office.

I don't think it sounds self-centered at all and good for you!  I went through the same thing with pantyhouse and can now wear a "normal" size.

You just keep on doing what you are doing cause it sounds to me like you are doing awesome!

I agree with the others.. nothing self centered in the least about what you recognize in yourself./ I wish all of us could open our eyes and see how far we are coming! Its a good thing, trust me, to recognize our accomplishments! YOU GO GIRL!
