I am now 3 days post op and do think I have turned the corner in some ways.  I am finally moving the gas in the lower half of my body but I have a larger amount suck behind my breast and in my shoulder blades.  Its very painful!!  Would love any tips to get this to move on its way out of my body.

Walk, walk, and then walk again. My doctor said to walk 4 to 5 times a day. Obivously it doesn't have to be far. If it's too cold out, I know many people who walked around inside their houses. Wish I had a magic pill I could give you. Hope you're feeling better soon. Mag

Yes, movement is the key to releasing the gas.  Walk, walk, walk.  Frequent short distances.  This will pass in just a few days as the last of the gas bubbles are reabsorbed.

Hello Teresa,

like everybody is saying walking is the key to get rid of all that gas. I was a walking nut at the hospital and I was able to get rid of the majority of that gas before I came home. Its kinda of boring walking around in circles around your house but it really does help.

Let us know if  you have any questions. We are all more than willing to answer them and help out any way we can. Welcome to the losers bench

I had it the same way. AND I am afraid I must agree with the group... walk walk and walk some more.. the walking helps it work out. within a few more days, you will feel MUCHLY better if you can get in lots of little walks

best of "passing gas" wishes coming your way! lol
