seeing weight loss!!!
Hello all, I'm a happy camper. I weighed last night at my hometown support group meeting. At 23 days post-op I am down 21#s. I lost 34 before surgery and people say it is starting to show. Feeling better physically. Tried too much at first. pushed my self to walk without my walker and fell flat on my face. Painful and embaressed (sp?). lol Using the walker I walked 10 minutes!!! A five year record for me. Mag
congrats on your LOSS so far. keep up the good work. Don't feel bad or embarrassed about the fall. I had one of them a week after surgery I slipped on some ice. Of course I was not alone, my fiance was with me but there was also another guy in clearing his car off. I was so embarrassed. He offered to help me up and when he heard I had just had surgery he wanted to call an ambulance. Don't know how i managed it but I got up on my own. Still got the sore tailbone. fiance thinks its funny that when I fell I didn't say anything about my incisions, just that my a$$ hurt. I guess I can see the humor in it now.. me lying in the snow, the dog all in my face, and me yelling out my a$$ hurts. LOL
Hope that you keep up with the walking and use your walker!!! no more falls for either of us

Congrats Mag, on the weight loss. I can see the humor in the fall, glad you were not injured badly. As more weight leaves, you will find mobility improves. I find that when I fall, my pride is hurt more than anything else. Quickly looking to see if anyone was watching. I live near a senior high rise and know that I was entertainment for those looking out their windows. I blame my fall on icy conditions, last fall was on fresh ice in a parking lot, last winter. Nope, I did fall over while using the snow blower earlier this winter. Backing the thing up when I tripped over a chunk of snow, still embarassing. I was laughing out loud at how funny it must have looked. Thank goodness for a lot of the fluffy stuff that I landed in, not injured in the least.
For anyone in warmer states, please send warmth north. It was -17 when I left work this morning. The cold sucks your breath away. Door to door service provided by my wonderful hubby, didn't have to walk home this morning. Snuggled on the prewarmed pasenger seat instead. Life is good. Hugs everyone.
