I'm going to try this again, see yesterday I typed a nice long letter saying Hello sorry i miss you all, but something happened and my computer lost it, then I lost my mind and walked away .... Round 2!

Hello Everyone, Sorry I have been MIA for so long. Things have been crazy between the holidays and the kids moving out and doing work around the house.

Hope everyone had a good holiday, I did slip out of my groove alittle and tasted some things I shouldn't have had, but I have managed to get myself back on track for the most part. I was forgetting to take vitamins, and not doing protein shakes and not excising. The only thing I am not back in full swing with is my exercising but I am working on it slowly.

My 1 year anniversary passed, Jan 11th. 1 year 100 pounds. And loving the new me. I did my 1 year check up, doing very good. Had a few negatives. My vitamin D is low. I have to take more vitamin D and I hold a doctors note that says I have to spend more time outside. Kinda funny to have that. But hey its doctors orders right, hahaha. I told my supervisor the other day about the doctors note so the last few days she has pushed me out the door, told me go for a walk and get my vitamins in. When I went to my 1 year follow up I did tell them I am having some problems. (sever back pains, and itching all over) the doctor says its awful that I am having the problems, BUT it is a good thing that I am having the problems. So my insurance will help cover some or all of my plastic surgery, I am looking into. I have to be stable in weight for 6 months. And I have yet to stable out. I hope towards the end of this year the begging of next year I can have my surgery. I have a cruise to the Bahamas planned next April and would LOVE to be able to wear a swim suit and shorts with out fear. i do have questions. If anyone has answers. How long is the healing process? I "want" the extra skin removed, and donated to the local children's hospital burn center. And looking for a boob lift. Thinking about getting my arms and legs done too. But I heard bad stories about them. I don't know. I will talk to the doctor soon, with in the next few months. See what he says mean time wondering what people here have to say or have been threw.

Yes, I did mention the kids moved out. The begging of December courts granted their father custody. They moved out December 29th. The good thing is I get to see the kids often. I am the fathers (EX) sister in law. and I get along better with him then my own sister. Yes, still having problems with my family. WE still don't talk. But made it my new years resolution to not let it bother me. They will find out in time what I did was a good thing and that I'm not a bad person like they accuse me of being. Mean time, since the kids moved out we have moved forward with our adoption plans. It is exciting any day now I can get my phone call that a child is waiting for my love. I hope to adopt 2 children in time.

Rather then that not much else going on, Loving being a homeowner. Even if it is nickel and diming me to no end.

Hope everyone is doing well, I think about everyone all the time. Welcome to the losers bench to the newbies. Good luck for any upcoming surgeries.

Take care I will try to be back sooner, the this last time. Sometime I just don't find to sit down and relax, and when I do I usually fall asleep. Working and working more, and doing things I don't know where the last month has even gone.

Wowwwwww... you weren't kidding there has been a lot going on. I almost had to catch my breath after reading about it all. Can be hard to find some balance when things are so crazy, but DO TRY! YOU are worth the investment of a few minutes a day to see to your needs, whatever they may be...exercise, our message board, a lil nap..lol.

I had some plastics, but none to arms or legs. It can take up to a full year to totally recover, but found I was doing very well after a couple of months.

Best of luck with the adoption call coming very soon for you. I am sorry the kids were granted to someone else, but glad it is someone who will allow you visits.

Congrats on your wls progress. Please make sure your vitamins are a priority. Too many problems can come of not taking them. Take good care, and keep us uipdated on the adoption call coming in!

That is super busy indeed Melissa.  Wishing you all the best for the upcoming adoption.  I agree with Patrece, take time for yourself each day.  My motto for Feb is going to be: Dedicate myself to myself.  I am willing to share this with all who need to do the same.

I have been doing similar to you, overly busy, working more than I want to.  Had a 5 day weekend this weekend, worked 2 of the days, Had a full day off yesterday, and did somethings for myself.  Felt wonderful.

Enjoy your visits with your nieces/nephews.  They deserve the best life has to offer.  So do you, hang in there Melissa.  Hugs
