Eating post RNY
Hey Fran. Meat is a very dense protein, thus will provide you with fullness faster than other foods and protein sources. I too was told no more than 2 oz at this pooint. I was lucky to get in 1 to 1.5 oz per sitting no matter what I had unless it was just liquid with no protein added.
The egg... yep sounds like the fat you prepared it in caused you some mild dumping. Try just a tiny little spray of an olive oil non stick cooking spray. If you need the buttery flavor, use the butter flavored spray. Only takes a 1 to 2 second spray to cook the eggs with.
Now eggs and i have had this funky relationship since my surgery. Some days they go down and sit fine. Other days, on my first bite, I can tell I need to foget it and eat something else. They don't make me dump when they don't agree, just feel like cement hitting my pouch. Still at 2.5 years out this happens. Actually never had trouble with em until about 3 months out.
Typically, as some said veggies are a no no this early out..BUT I will interject here and share, that being cooked for hours and hours with the roast, I am sure they are fine. The touble beggies can cause is that the fiber is too dense for our pouches to handle, but being cooked that long, I am sure they were very tender and the fibrous part was cooked to mush anyhow for the most part.
Best of luck as you are in the learning curve with your wls. It takes a while to get the hang of it all, and just about the time we do, something changes..lol. OR we find we have gone a bit off track. Procede with caution, but definately procede!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
HI .. I am a little more than three months post op. I had my RNY on10/5/10. The last time i went to the bariatric center they allowed me to start having veggies as they gave me the maintenance diet for the surgery .. So i can eat for the most part whatever now ... but I have found that anything that has any fat in it or is fried does not sit well at all on my little pouch. I don't measure what I am eating but i only eat untill i am satified not full ..
The really unusual thing that I have noticed is since we have to chew everything until it is applesauce consistancy, some things just don't taste good when you chew them that long .. and my taste in food has changed significantly.
