How many Calories do you eat per day??????
Hi Everyone,
Just curious, how many calories to take in from day to day? My surgeon wanted me around 800 per day, but it just doesnt seem to be enough especially with my working out as hard as I have been (I will flatten that butt and belly as much as I can before PS!!!). Let me know what your daily intake looks like!! Thanks!!! :)

most wls docs say 800 to 1200 per day, depending upon level of activity. So if you are working out alot, you probably need to up it a bit gradually until you find the right amount. Remember to focus on the protein, especially from foods rather than just supplements, as the food proteins stick with us longer, espcially dense proteins such as meats, fish, etc.

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
I don't count calories, focus instead on getting in my 64 ounces of fluid and high quality proteins. I too find that getting most of my protein needs in with real foods keeps me satisfied better. Coordinate with your surgeon/nutritionist for the best choices for your personal needs.

My nutritionist doesn't have me focus on calories except to make sure I'm not eating calorie waste foods or drinking calories (which I'm still guilty of sometimes). She wants me to focus on eating proteins first, getting my 60 g of protein daily, drinking my 64 ounces of water, and taking my vitamins. I've been a real slacker lately though. I'm lucky if I get the multivitamin in daily, and the protein shakes taste awful so I've skipped on them too.
My nut has me eating 1200 a day I generally stay some where between 1,000 and 1,200. I have had a fitness trainer tell me to increase because of my activity level but I just don't seem to be able to get above that 1200 level. My nut was ok with this suggestion after she saw my workout routine more calories will help you burn more fat if you are working out a lot the bodies demand may be more. I would just follow what the doctor has told you though I am over a year out and almost to goal.
