Been a while since I posted a challenge.... CHALLENGE for the upcoming week.

Glad you are in and all in all things are going good for you.
Do not pass on meal time even if you are not hungry. This sets your body up to go into starvation mode! This, you do not want. Make an attempt to at least eat a little fruit, or have a protein shake when the meal is due. Or even a couple of thin slices of lean chicken or turkey or beef lunch meat. Just something healthy to assure your body nutrition is coming on a regular basis.

Get those supplements in tonight and that liquid! You are doing great Colleen!

You know I'm in on this challenge!!!!  I am bound and determined to stay on track.  I also have to remember that the scale does not rule me. It's not about the numbers it's about making positive changes in my life and changing my brain since they didn't bother to change that when they changed my stomach.

So glad to have you in on this! You are so right! If they could give us food amnesia during the surgery, we'd all have a much better advantage wouldn't we?

You are so right. When we started out in this journey, they didn't tell us to live for the numbers on the scale. They gave us guidelines to follow  as far as intake, supplements, liquids and activity. If we keep our focus here, the numbers will naturally follow. Once a week I think is plenty to weigh in. I do it once maybe twice a week just to keep myself in the acceptable range. (Accountability and keeping a handle on things).

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

An excellent time for this challenge for me, Patrece. For some reason (perhaps the cold weather, perhaps my stomach is stetched a bit, perhaps the ghrelin is back, who knows?) I've been starving CONTINUOUSLY the past few days and I'm afraid that I will start gaining weight again.
I'm joining you guys and I'll need all the encouragement I can get to get back to basics!

I absolutely need to do this again! It's not so much the carbs that are my problem this time, nuts are the "carbiest" I get nowadays and I avoid those too since they are "trigger foods" for me, as we have discussed before. I just need to find more strategies to curb hunger (or it may just SEEM like hunger). I admit, I have stopped drinking proteins, I never liked them and lately they were making me gag. I think starting tomorrow morning I'll go on a protein shake escapade again and see where it leads. Thanks for the vote of confidence Patrece.

You are very welcome! As far as curbing the hunger, maybe you need to add in a snack or two that is protein based, such as cottage cheese or yogurt or a slice or two of a lean deli meat. Or maybe fruit or veggies. Something healthy, but protein based is best especially if you are not using the shakes.

Count me in!!  I've been having problems getting in enough water, protein, and exercise.  I had my one year anniversary date from RNY on Dec. 7th.  This coming week I WILL drink at least 6 glasses of water,  drink one protein shake/or eat one protein bar, and walk at least 30 minutes per day.  Thank you for making this challenge.

You are very welcome. I needed this too. I am not getting in enough water or exercise.
