Getting back on track

I had my first session with Patrece this afternoon and it really opened my eyes to a few things, but mostly the denial I have been in about my eating habits.  I have been traveling a road that is going to lead me right back to gaining my weight back.  I don't want to go there and I am going to do everything I can to keep that from happening.  She had loads of great ideas for me, things that never occured to me before and I feel like I have some direction and a plan.  I was afraid that I would not make it to my goal but now I know that if I follow my plan, I will most definitely get there.

I also noticed that we had quite a few new people join the group.  When you feel comfortable, please introduce yourselves.  This group is terrific!

Way to go Colleen.  I am happy that Patrece was able to help you re-direct yourself.  It's hard when we get off track to get back on the right road.  It always helps to bounce things off of other people and get new ideas.  That's one reason I love OH.  Good luck! I know you can do it!!

Morning Colleen, I feel like I need to introduce myself to the group again too.  Hi, I am Kathy, had RNY 09/2009.  Working my tool and getting back into exercise.  Glad you had a good session with Patrece.  Isn't she great?  Hugs

Being aware is the first step to fixing it.  You'll be okay.  You got this far.  God bless.

I am really happy to be working with you Colleen. We are going to get you where you need to be. I applaude you for recognizing that you need a bit of help before things got toooooo out of hand. Many won't admit they can't do it alone.. and I am a firm believer that we need solid support, an accountability partner and good information to have the best results.

Hope all is going well with the goals we set for you for this week.
Hugs!

Thank you ladies for your responses.  When I write I usually do it for myself but it's good to know that some read and respond.  I've already started on my fluids for the day.  I'm not hungry so it will be a protein shake first thing this morning, along with my coffee.  I am so grateful that my surgeon isn't on the  'no coffee" bandwagon, we just aren't allowed to count it as our water intake.
