Happy New Year.
New Year - New Me, and I sure am feeling it!

I know it's been a while since  I have been on, but wow - weren't those holidays crazy. Jinkies!

Anyhow, I think the last time I posted anything I was at a plateau. Well in December I got a fill. I would say it's been about a month and lost 11 pounds since. That seemed to do the trick.

I started at 272, and I'm now 215.  I had lap band surgery in July 2010, so I think I'm doing pretty well. I also work really hard at it. I journal everything I eat, and I'm at the gym almost 2 hours, 5 days a week. Plus I have started taking a ZUMBA class. It is so much fun! I would have never been able to do that at 272 pounds, but I am really enjoying it.

I may not comment on a lot of posts, but I do take time to read a lot of them.

We have some pretty awesome people in this group that are huge inspirations to the rest of us.

Take care all and may God bless you in 2011.

Happy New Year and New You!  I hadn't heard the word Zumba until a couple of days ago and then you mentioned it.  If it requires anything to do with balance then it's some thing that I can't do but I'm going to check into it.  At this point the only exercise I am able to do on a regular basis is water aerobics but I admit that I don't go very often.  I have a lot of habits that need changing.  If I dwell too much on them I start to get overwhelmed so I just do what I can, when I can.

I hope you have lots of fun in your class!

Zumba is amazing and fun.
Check out Aqua Zumba! Just go to the Zumba website and it should tell you if there is an Aqua Zumba in your area.

I am glad to see you post Jeannine, you are working your tool and exercising well.  Pass on some of your ambition my way.  Dead of winter has its grips on me.  I miss being able to walk outdoors with the critters.

I am getting back into posting again too.  Life gets waaaay busy.  Hugs

Sounds like you're really having fun and doing great!  Zumba is fun!  I follow routines on YouTube sometimes, I think I'm too big yet to keep up with a class lol.  Happy New Year to you too!

Thank you, I am having fun - but that's the fun of Zumba. You don't have to keep up with the class. Do the best you can and have fun with it. There are a lot of people who don't keep up with it - but the more you do it, the easier it becomes. We even have a lady in a wheelchair who attends.
There are times in Zumba, where I am so totally off the steps, I usually just freestyle until I can get the groove back.
